Hi Doctor Shim.. Many thanks for this information. I have disc herniation for 3 years already. My doctor said it's chronic type.

Pain have changed with rating of 1 to 10 where 10 is the most painful.

From 9 on the first 6 to 8 months.

Now at 4 or 5.. And sometimes 1..

Hoping it will continue to resolve.

Hi Dr Shim, great explanations in your videos! I have suffered from a disc bulge, caused by a car crash for a few years now. Can non-age related bulges like this heal themselves? Thanks in advance.

Dear doctor, u have given apt explanation for disc herniation. I too am experiencing disc bulge with both leg symptoms. Can disc bulge also heal? You have explained disc herniations heal themselves in other video but not disc bulge. I had tried searching on internet but can't find anywhere about disc bulge. Pls help 🙏

Hello Dr Shim. I’ve been battling back pain for over 2 years . I finally went to an ortho he did an mri on my neck and said I had a protrusion. Said it wasn’t a big deal just do physical therapy. He didn’t explain anything so I didn’t think it was a big deal . I had zero neck pain . My mid back was where the pain is . I went to another specialist as the pain kept getting worse . I would lay off of it it would get some better . I thought I had a pulled muscle so I kept icing and heating to no avail. This specialist did an mri on my thoracic spine . Shows I have a disc bulge at T7 T8 I’ve had 2 injections done so far . Seems to help some . Will this eventually heal like the 8 weeks time ? All this time I’m thinking I tore a muscle . Thanks for all you do .

Hmm, I get how a disc will bulge as it dehydrates. I imagine that the bulge would be more or less uniform along the entire circumference of the disc. Never knew this until I watched your video. But, does a disc "spot bulge" before it herniates? Thanks!!!

Sir, can a disc bulge cure itself. Kindly guide. I've been experiencing both disc bulge and disc herniation from time to time. Thanks. Looking forward for your guidance.

Hello Dr Shim, I have a disc bulge and disc narrowing at L4-5 and L5-S1. The MRI read as follows: “broad based disc bulge with focal left paracentral disc extrusion, facet joint hypertrophy, and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy. These changes result in mild mass effect on the ventral thecal sac and moderate bilateral neural foraminal narrowing”. I do not have pain however I have numbness and severe tingling/burning sensation in both legs and feet. The numbing goes all the way up to inner thighs and rectum area. I am receiving decompression table treatments but so far the numbing has not gone away yet after 4-5 treatments. Is this something that will eventually go away slowly over time? With continued decompression adjustments? I am drinking a lot of water and exercising lower back on a “wobbly” chair.
Thanks

Hello doc, i have recently been diagnosed with moderate disk bulge on my left side of L4 L5.
I usually feel pain when sitting or standing. But frequent pain in my left leg.
My question is whether this problem is cured with time or require some special procedures?
