2 herniated discs from bad deadlift technique. Hurt really bad for years. One day I started doing this plus another 2 exercises on a regular basis for many months and I got a lot better to the point I can still train and compete muay thai and lift weights although I don't deadlift heavy anymore

I do this for years now., hold the up position for 5 or 10 second and slowly go back down.One of the best lower back stretching exercises.

I HAVE HAD SCIATIC AND I CAN TELL YOU THIS ACTION CAN DEFINITE PINCH THE DISC EVEN MORE SO IT PUSHES FORWARD FURTHER INTO THE sciatic Nerve. More people cannot do this action than could do it - BE VERY CAUTIOUS as this could set off a cascade of more pain in a few hours !

I started using a decompression board for my back. One with foam pressure point massagers. Lay on it for about 5 minutes a day to help with my lower back pain. By no means is it a cure, but omg. Amazing tool to have if you suffer lower back pain. Many sleepless nights were saved by it. It stretches the back the same way as this video, but all you have to do is lay on it and let ur body weight decompress your spine.

Mój fizjoterapeuta zalecił mi te właśnie ćwiczenia i robię je zawsze gdy tylko wstanę z łóżka i w każdej wolnej chwili, wracam z zakupów mata i wyprost pleców, posprzatam mieszkanie mata i wyprost, czuję że zbliża się ból..mata i wyprosty, 😅 serdecznie polecam bo pomagają, robię je wszędzie nawet na działce na trawie, gdy popracuję za dużo przy roślinach. Uwielbiam je ponieważ przynoszą mi ulgę i nie muszę brać prochów przeciwbólowych 👍

Had a L4 slipped disc that resulted in a sudden sharp pain in my lower back and complete numbness in left leg and loss of leg strength. I had just gotten up from the toilet and I collapsed immediately. Managed to use my upper body to pull myself to the bedroom and grab my phone to call for an ambulance. I had to be carried out and was rushed to hospital where I was warded for a week. Followed by weeks of physio exercises and slow recuperation. Definitely not something I’d wish for anyone.

I hope I don't have a slipped disc. Idk what happened but yesterday evening I suddenly got a sharp pain in my back and it's giving me such awful anxiety. I cried this morning because of the pain, and I have a decent tolerance for pain! Idk how I'm gonna work like this, I drive for a living and can't even look over my shoulder and I'm in pain looking down and ant slight movement, I have to be so cautious and move delicately. Day 2. Praying it passes by tomorrow.

my physical therapist gave me the same advice. i been doing toe touches trying to get rid of the pain and its been making it worse. she also said walking backwards is very helpful

I had a herniated disc over 10 years ago and this was always a go-to exercise. However years of backward bending and avoiding forward bending caused problems with the joint, more specifically, facet joint syndrome. I kept getting relapses and thought it was the disc, until i realized that it must be the joint. The joint actually wants forward bending. Ultimately the spine needs to be mobile in both directions and side to side.

It happened to me over three years ago. I lift heavy object in the farmyard. My uncle dare me to do silly stunts, as I lift up without proper form my back make a snap sound & sharp pain. I knew it was strange pain. After I woke up it was very painful & when i cough ir sneezed it hurts the lower back. Two to three months pass it got better but when i do abdominal exercises or lift my right leg up it makes cracking sound & it ran up my spine. Many years pass, it got worse by me training too much of dangerous acrobatic movement, i just went to have x-ray & going to pt- electrotherapy for weeks now. I'm hoping it gets better because it effect my work/income, cuz of pain & stiff back, can't be active as before. It hurts while lying down or sitting & bending. Hope i recover so i can move on to better thing's.
