What is Dialectical Materialism?

Great to have y'all back, but damn i feel bad for someone to stumble upon this video as their first leftist video. Compare this to the first video on the channel, which despite being an extreme summary of its own, references modern society and a historical time period many of us are familiar with thanks to being taught European history in high school (and also explains pretty much every term as it is used).

Is this video a summary of the development of Dialectical Materialism, or is it an explanation of Dialectical Materialism? The video needed more time to expand on either the development or the explanation (the Marxism video is twice as long) so it could be useful if I know nothing about the subject. What if I don't know what Idealism or Materialism are? What are "material conditions"? How do we shape them? How are we shaped by them? These are the sorts of questions that need answers in this video, otherwise it remains too abstract and a viewer will probably not even remember anything.

You folks did a really good job on the Marxism video, so I believe you can keep putting out videos like that. This one just needed a little more time in the oven. Ensure ideas/terms get an explanation before or as they are introduced (referencing yourself where relevant so you don't have to repeat yourself, and so a confused viewer knows where to get a more detailed explanation), and use tangible examples to make things concrete.

Really good video. 👍 Narration sound was unclear, a little hard to understand and follow. Maybe slow down and better enunciate the English? Otherwise fab, Albeit agree perhaps could've been further simplified a little for those new to the subject matter. 😉
