Where did Marx write about dialectical materialism? Answer he didn’t. Plekhanov coined the term after Marx’s death, the Russian/Georgian Marxists developed the term based mostly off of Engles writings in which called refers to it as ‘materialist dialectics’. Later after Engles death posthumous works were published, specifically the note book called the Dialectics of Nature.

It’s entirely likely based on the scant writing by Marx referring to dialectics that he would not take much of what has been written on the topic seriously and would have rejected much of the a-priori assumptions contemporary marxists make on of this topic.

The major writing on this topic are made following large defeats of revolutionary movements and serve as a morale stabilization sermon.

Dialectical materialism is not constructed scientifically. It’s hermeneutics given a Marxian makeover.

Workers who are serious about class struggle can basically ignore it. As it is the product of an alien class of professional writers who have made a mountain out of this mole hill.
