I bet someone at an auto shop taught him this LMAO. Please don't wear out your clutch just to stay stationary. Clutch in and brake is all you have to do.

The clutch is a friction disk, which you are smoothing out. Use your brakes to stop and keep stopped. Engage the clutch when tou want to transition from no gear to a gear and vice versa. It’s as simple as that

I hear if you don't want the car to move, there's this really cool pedal in the middle of those other two that will not let it roll forward or back, they call it brake or something

TO ANY BEGINNERS OUT THERE WORRYING ABOUT HALF CLUTCH ESPECIALLY IN A TRAFFIC UPHILL, I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO PLEASE BRING YOUR CLUTCH TO THE BITING POINT FIRST AND SLIGHTLY A TINY TINY BIT LOWER IT DOWN WHERE THERE IS NOT SOOO MUCH VIBRATION BUT AN OK OK VIBRATION, GOT IT!
THEN IF YOU ARE HOLDING AT THAT POSITION YOUR TIMING FROM THE BREAK hAS TO SLIDE TO YOUR GAS SO WHEN YOU SLIDE REMEMBER TO ADD TAP TAP GAS AT THE SAME TIME YOU MUST BRING YOUR CLUTCH A TINY BIT IMPORTANT)
AND HOLDD THAT POSITION AND DO NOT MOVE YOUR LEFT CLUTCH

SO WHILE YOU GET THE PART
WHERE YOU RELEASE YOUR FOOT FROM THE BREAK TO ADD GAS
THERE IS A MOVEMENT CALL TAP TAP ON GAS.
AND ITS THE BEST WAY W OUT WORRYING THAT YOUR CAR WILL GOO FAST UP ….
Also plz practice this in a not so uphill first then try another steep hill, once you get the idea of Halfclutch w tap tap gas at the same time raising your clutch foot a *TINY BIT* ( COIN SIZE ) IMPORTANT AGAIN*
PRACTICE PRACTICE GET THE FEELING

your perspective in other uphills will totally change and b easy for you…..
REMEMBER DONT B AFRAID TO MORE GASS THAN NORMAL AS ITS AN UPHILL SO DO NOT WORRY! Its completely NORMAL to ADD MORE GASS BUT OFCOURSE DONT OVER ADD GASS LIKEE OVER OVER
YOU GET WHAT I MEAN? ADD GAS MORE THAN NORMAL THO YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU DO THE TAP TAP POSITION ON GAS AND FEELING THE CAR IS NOT GOING BACK NOR FRONT FOR ONLY 1 second when you keep adding tap tap like twice and when the car slowly starts walking uphill then automatically you will know you have to gas w out tap tap!

Soo POINT 1 ( UP HILL )

1. BITTING POINT BUT NOT WHERE THE CAR IS VIBRATING LIKE HELL
LOWER IT A TINY TINY BIT WHEN THE CAR IS VIBRATING LIKE HELL( THIS WILL NEVER MAKE YOU STALL )

2. LEARN HOW TO SLIDE FROM BREAK TO GAS ( TILT TOUR TOES AND LIKE SWIPE YOUR FOOT FROM BREAK TO GAS PEDAL.

3. WHILE RELEASING YUR BREAK FOOT TO GASS REMEMBER TO SIMULTANEOUSLY ALMOST WALA FEELING, TO TINY BIT RAISE UP THE CLUTCH REMEMBER A TINY BIT RAISE UP THE CLUCTH WILE YOU DO THE TAP TAP GAS MOVEMENT AND MAINTAIN YOUR LEFT FOOT ON THAT CLUTCH FOR 4 to 5 seconds on uphill and slowly automatically you will know to release it slowly the clutch while car has move ahead after 4 or 5 seconds, DO NOT RELEASE THE CLUTCH FOOT IMMEDIATELY AND REMEMBER TO TINY BIT RAISE UP AGAIN THE CLUTCH WILE DOING THE TAP TAP GAS METHOD

My driving instructor told me not to do this when I learned to drive because it's terrible for your clutch.

I used to do as you are teaching in the video until someone told me that the clutch will damage if for doing that.
