Nice to hear 85% of patients will stabilize. I am MtoF transgender and have been on HRT twenty months. I am sure that has helped me stabilize. I also started derma rolling about a year ago and have continued my Minoxidil which I have used for years. In the past, the minoxidil never stabilized my hair loss, but it has slowed it.

With all that said, I am opting for a hair transplant. If I did not care about femininizing my hair line, I may have not opted for it.

I am glad I stabilized my hair loss and I am likely to continue with minoxidil to avoided losing any of my untransplanted hair. It has helped limit the number of grafts I need and I believe will help insure the success of my transplant.

In my opinion, the key to effective hair loss treatment is trust and respect between doctor and patient. Treatment is a two way street.

Thanks Docs for such great videos.

Great video guys! I wanted to ask wether it's true that Minoxidil is better absorped when applied right after micro-needeling or should you apply minoxidil and micro needle on different days?

Thanks in advance!

I love your content!.I am 32 and have close to a norwood 3. My question is does hair loss stabilize? I want a hair transplant but kinda don't wanna take finasteride due to the fear mongering stuff. I would be willing to do minoxidil and just maybe topical fin

Have you ever had a case where dutasteride accelerated the hair loss?

Thank you, Doctors, for this video!
I am experiencing hair loss myself, about NW3.
Would you say the best action plan would be to start with Minoxidil for 6 months before introducing a second treatment to the mix?
So i can gauge if Minoxidil is working for me or not.
Thanks again!!

Im 26. My hair at 3rd stage. My dermatologist didn't recommend finasteride because of my age and risk of side affects. If i insist he would but im not confident myself.

Hi guys, thanks for your great sharing.

I've taken Finasteride (1mg per day) and used Minoxidil (2 times or at least 1 time per day) for more than 4 years. I have got very good result during 2-3 years. But recently, my situation is very unstable. Especially these day, my hair was starting to lose heavily everyday and this makes me very nervous. I'm not sure if this is a period situation or anything else.

Anyone here met the similar situation like me? Any suggestions? Thanks alot!

If after using both oral Dutasteride, oral Minoxidil, and Keto shampoo for over a year (without sides) but is still losing alot of hair and miniaturization, both visibly and under microscope, how does one know if they should 1.) increase dose of Dut, 2.) add a topical anti-androgen such as Pyralutamide, or 3.) or a form of Estradiol? In watching some of your videos, there are various terms that I don't understand such as 1.) high or low androgen activity in scalp, 2.) aromatase, 3.) whether increase in scalp testosterone could be an issue for a small group of individuals, etc.. I'd like to do something in addition to what I'm doing now but don't want to exacerbate the situation. Any input is appreciated.

How can fin make it worse? Thought it was either supposed to stop or improve, if hair sheds more with it and doesn't stop them the drug is actually harming the hair correct? And when is shedding a concern with the medication?

Hi, does one need to stabilize their hair loss before proceeding with a transplant? Or at least know that their pattern balding stopped?
