I disagree with frequent hair trims. That's why my hair wasn't getting longer! I take excellent care of my hair, get it trimmed about once every 6-9 months, and it's now at my waist. I bought into the 6-8 week trim schedule, which simply cut off almost all the growth.

After 20 months, I don't feel that I grew more hair with nutrafol, but what hair did grow back was much thicker than what it replaced.
* I've also been using their shampoo and conditioner exclusively since I started their program.

I’ve never really had issues with hair growth per se, but my hair used to get super scraggly after a certain length until I started sleeping in a silk bonnet at night. It’s really helped me reduce friction as I sleep and my hair is able to stay healthy while growing long. I cut it about 2 times a year to refresh my cut and it’s been enough. I do use heat almost every time I wash it, but I’m washing at most 1 or 2 times a week and I always use heat protectant. I used to only oil my hair after I washed it, but now I’ve started oiling my hair on my non-wash days and it’s made a world of difference for my 2A hair that’s needed a lot more moisture than I’ve given it my whole life because I treated it like straight hair. If you find that the oil is too heavy, try putting the tiniest bit in your palm and rubbing it all over your hands like you’re lathering soap (including in between your fingers and back of your hand) before applying to your hair - that seems to work for me. I got an oil that every review said was too heavy but I loved the smell so wanted to try making it work anyway and that method does work for me 😂

I was stuck in Hawaii with all the Sun and salt water without my usual hair products like argon and castor oil. I washed my hair and used Hawaiian tropic dark tanning oil. Woke up the next day and it looked amazing. Now i use it on my dry ends before bed and when i wake up they are super simple supple.

I lost all my long dark hair last year from my Lupus I was completely bald and devistated. I spent hundreds on every shampoo, serums and oils nothing was working until I bought a rechargeable scalp massager with red light from amazon and 10 in 1 hairgrowth serum and my hair has grown about 5 inches and is thick my Rheumy said I could lose it again but I'm praying it keeps growing

I have fine wavy hair and sleeping on a silk pillow case has helped keep my hair from breaking while I sleep. Also just have to shake it out and go as it doesn't mess my hair up.

Sleep 8 hours and early has really really helped my hair as well as clean shampoos no toxic chemicals in them I would get an app like Yuka that helps you decipher all the commercial bs and actually tells you what the chemicals do and what they mean. Vitamin D and scalp messages also helped me a lot. I also use Nuxe un scented oil at the ends, and jojoba oil and Rosemary oil mixed together for a hair mask, hair dusting (very very short trim) I also do a hair egg mask once a month. Also I make my own rose water (that really really helps) I really hope my tips help someone 🙏🏼😊💕

My dermatologist recommended PRP injections but the cost was prohibitive. She also recommended minoxidil which I have been using and it has definitely improved the thickness of my hair. In fact, it is difficult to apply now because there are not such large blank spaces.

Viviscal DEFINITELY works for me! It does have iron in it so may be too much for some. Also use minoxidil from my derm. I prefer a chelating solution to remove product buildup.

i find the Hairmax head band laser is quite helpful. I started using it after 2 years of low dose prednisone hair loss and poor quality, weak hair. I continue using it 3x week to maintain my hair. My hair looks great and is longer than I ever have been able to grow it ever! I am 78 and my hair is natural gray, very fine texture and prone to tangling and knotting. Most times after shampoo, I dry with it designated hair wrap towels (Aquis) until it is completely dry. I do not use curling or straightening iron, nor rollers. I wear satin sleep caps.

My hair wa the longest and healthiest when I was only cutting my hair every 5-6 months. I rarely ever used heat and I didn't dye my hair. I have realized the less I do the healthier my hair is. I do love clarifying shampoo. I agree that is a game changer. I also love the double shampoo method.

Nutrition wise, treating iron deficiency had the biggest impact on hair growth. Zinc pyrithione worked great for my scalp health, and I protect my ends from breakage with products with silicones, especially amodimethicone

my doctor prescribes oral minoxidil and it has worked wonders for my thin limp aging hair. but beware, it makes all the hair on the body grow! my eyelashes are grateful but my bikini line hates me. the best care hair washing practices, including bond repair products, work with the minoxidil. a many pronged approach is your best bet.

I’m 48 and started on oral Minoxidil in January 2023 due to TE. It did make me shed a lot the first 8 weeks. It is growing back, my part is non existent now. It does cause hair to grow on ur face and arms. My hair loss hasn’t stopped or decreased though. My iron, vit D, thyroid all ok. So they say it’s stress related. But who knows.

Scalp massage is so important! It stimulates blood circulation which (no surprise!) stimulates hair growth! I'd suggest this massage during your conditioning time, so that your fingers slide, thus not creating friction and causing damage. Frequent trims are a BIG NO!!! If hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month, you'll be constantly cutting off everything you grow! If you maintain your hair, you shouldn't need cuts that often! I'd also recommend a hair bonnet for sleep and/or a silk or satin pillowcase! This also eliminates friction on your strands while you sleep. Tight hairstyles are also a big no...loose, non-restrictive styles are a great way to be kind to your hair. Also, I'd suggest looking into some heatless styling tools. I've been having a blast with them, and my hair looks AMAZING with them, and the curls really LAST! 🙂
