Yes that brick feeling that comes with my anxiety totally feels like fullness but I'm still thinking of food! Thank you for addressing this Becky.

I'm in the same boat she was in, I have always had a restrictive diet but the year I moved out from my ex I starved myself for weeks. When I started eating I started feeling weird after eating bread and cheese so I ignored a lot of things. I ended up thinking I had a gluten issue, fruit issue, then I'm not eating for hours. Ended up in ER a few times but nobody caught on to a possible ED and kept discharging me. Nobody asked about my diet, my water intake, etc. Smh. After like 8 years I'm now fully accepting that I have an ED. Been eating up to 2000 calories for about a week, but the recovery symptoms are beating me into the ground!! This time I want quit as I know it's the first phase in my recovery and not a bad reaction to food.

This video was so perfect!! Now it makes sense. I had never heard about the delayed gastric emptying before! Perfect explanation! Thank you!!

Timing couldn't have been more perfect! I've been dealing with bad bloating, stomach pain and gastroparesis for the past couple of days. Thank goodness I know all I know and I'm not letting this derail me. This was a great reminder. Not sure why it's happening now, as I'm not at the start of recovery. However, all this pain is now just a reminder of everything my poor body has been through. It just makes sense it will take my body sometime to readjust. Loose pants for now! Thanks again and have a great week!

I can relate so much to this. Debilitating anxiety stomach aches actually pushed me into energy deficit when I was a teen and contributed greatly to me developing my ED.

Thank you for this video! I thought I was alone with the "brick in stomach" feeling, but knowing that you went through it too makes me feel a lot more assured. Lately, I have found that after I eat, the "brick" feeling go's away

I went to a GI specialist and he thinks I have IBS and put me on the low fodmap diet, buttt he has no idea about my restrictive past. And I'm nervous to call him and tell him because I have to do this diet for 3 months and fyi im 15. I have not had my period for 1 year and I know if I do this diet I'm not going to recover my digestive system and recover my period. Should my mom and I call up there and tell him? As we all know gastroenterologist are very busy all the time and I feel bad that I might have wasted his time.

This approach does not sea, to work for me. Its not helping me to eat all the time and not recognize why. However I have tried and will continue to challenge my food variation- I will eat everything. never restrict what I eat but I must train feeling of fulness and satisfaction. But I am following and U guess making my own mistakes and success.
