Bad news: People in their 40s, 50s, and 60s+ sometimes suffer from knee arthritis :-(
Good news: Arthritis can be managed and even become pain-free.
Better News: In 9 out of 10 people, people with knee arthritis can live without relying on pain medications or having surgery.

Here are 5 signs you can look for to see if you've got knee arthritis.

Sign #1 – Knee stiffness especially in the morning.
Many of our clients that come in with knee arthritis, they tell us that those first few steps, those first 15, 20, 30 minutes when they get up in the morning their knee just doesn’t want to bend normal, it just feels really stiff and achy, sometimes painful.
Then after a while it kind of warms up and they can move okay.

Sign #2 – Swelling in the knee, especially after you’ve been up on your feet standing or walking for a long time.
We commonly hear from patients with knee arthritis when they’ve gone on a vacation, a trip, and they walk around, did a little sightseeing or they did some yard work at home or house chores and they were on their feet for several hours, the knee just starts to swell up and doesn’t move as good and just gets hot.

Sign #3 – Taking pain medications on a regular basis (weekly or daily)
If you find that you’re taking pain medications, whether it’s over-the-counter or prescription.
If you’re taking pain medications on a regular basis for your knee problem.

Sign #4 – Trouble bending that knee all the way.
If you find that your painful knee doesn’t bend as much as the non-painful knee, that will not bend all the way in, that is a clear sign that you’ve got some moderate to severe arthritis.

Sign #5 – Pain at night, especially when you’re just getting to bed.
Sometimes it can happen in the middle of the night but people that are first seeing us for their knee problem, they frequently tell us on their first visit, “You know what, I just have so much trouble getting to bed at night.

It is possible to treat knee arthritis without surgery and without relying on pain medications.

There are natural solutions that we specialize in doing.

Hey ! I have left knee chondromalacia/pfps. It's been around 8 months. I'm an active teen, 17, who used to play alot of football. No trauma injury, I think it was just overuse.
I've tried TENS therapy, SWD therapy, physiotherapy, foam rolling, vmo strengthening, and all sorts of stuff but it doesn't seem to help.

I would be highly thankful if you guys have me a lead as to quickly get my knee good and start my activity again. Thanks!

I LOVE Your Channel and so appreciate all the educational videos. I was diagnosed with OA years ago and currently have acute swelling as I recently started Line Dancing almost every day.

I feel like I am in a catch 22 wrt to getting out of knee pain. Since I need to stay off my feet as much as possible seems like I need to sit for work (I am a software developer) instead of standing but then sitting turns off glutes and shortens hamstrings, right? So either way I am continuing to contribute to the swelling issue I am having that I'm trying to calm down so I can do more of the exercises you suggest.

Would lying down to work be a temporary solution? I have a bunch of pillows to rest the laptop on while I type at work to keep my neck from hurting and becoming my next problem!!

I watched some of your videos how to improve knee arthritis problem which I have it and my dr recommended a low impact exercise like elliptical, bike riding etc but you are against all that. You are promoting on building butt muscles and I just dont see the correlation how butt muscles can improve my knee. Almost every man over 50 years old doesn't have a butt muscles and no matter what they do its they just wont build the muscles that would make any difference in their life. In all your videos you are just talking and showing few exercises but why dont you show some pictures or diagrams of the butt muscles and how they work in connections with the knees. I will be very much interested to see your explanation.
