I tried to join the 7 day challenge but the link is down. I’m using Warren Hardy’s home study course very successfully. I went to a nearby Spanish church and asked the pastor if he knew of a Mexican lady who would talk with me weekly. He connected me with Gloria who is so sweet. We became instant friends! We meet weekly for 2 hours and talk and use flash cards. I also help her with her English. We sing songs and memorize 1 Bible verse together weekly in both languages. I’m at level 2 all past tense and am thrilled with my progress. I try and work at it 30-60 minutes daily. I also talk weekly on WhatsApp with a lady in Mexico. It’s lots of fun! Thanks for your tips😊

I tried to teach myself Spanish many years ago. The course came on a CD ROM, and I should probably go find it to use as a supplement. I still have a copy of Windows XP floating around. I may just have to give it another try. Right now the majority of my very limited Spanish is, shall we say, less than polite. Thanks, Alex!

. When I studied in Guadalajara, all foreign students had to demonstrate a level of proficiency before we were allowed to begin our medical classes. Still, the first couple of weeks were a bit daunting daunting. The anatomy professor kept mentioning this girl during his lectures, Annie Velde.  I wondered just who was this Annie chick until it became obvious that he was saying “at the level of” (a nivel de). 🤣 Great video.

I just signed up for the challenge. I've been learning Spanish for 1.5 yrs. and am prepping to spend some time in Mexico very soon. I feel pretty confident in everything except speaking, so that's what I want to concentrate on. Thank you for your videos; they are helping me with planning my trip.

Hola, Alex! I've signed up for your challenge! I am really trying to improve my Spanish (Mexican dialect) because I plan to move to Mexico next summer. You are the one that put Queretaro on the map for me when I started looking where I might want to live. I knew I didn't want extreme humidity and heat but, also, I didn't want a large expat enclave either. I have a base of Spanish (high school and college many lunas ago with Cuban profesores - and from growing up in Texas and learning Spanglish). Ahora, estoy listo para ponerme serio. This was a great video with lots of info, thanks!

Yay! I signed up for the challenge. I've been in Mexico since Oct 2019 and have tried various techniques. I've learned alot but not where I should be after over a year and a half of being here. I'm currently taking in person one on one lessons, but you can never have too much practice.

Dear Alex :
🙋 Questions:
With your good Spanish!
Did you fill out the temporary residence application on YOUR OWN ?

Did you communicate WELL IN SPANISH at your interview date at immigration México office?
What is your feedback?
I Have learned neutral Spanish WELL.
and wanted to know if I still need help applying on my own or best get help from Mexican legal services.?

NEUTRAL SPANISH

In Mexican IS:"Apostillado" I just learned it. After asking around.
You are very KIND and extensive on your answers.🤗

I have some apps like Babbel and my favorite Synergy Spanish. I also have linopie but have a little trouble getting into it some of the videos are kind of silly. I have found one Idomable with a guy in nature. It is good. Anyway thanks again

This challenge should be interesting. I have problems figuring out what people are saying, once I translate the first couple words in a sentence the sentence is over and I didnt even hear what was said.

Si, por favor! Hey Alex is it possible to enable Spanish spell check along with English? I need to communicate in English but when I am trying to do a Spanish lesson I have to do combat to get the spell checker to leave my Spanish alone! Oh and definitely speaking is my challenge!

I just signed up for your Spanish challenge! I'm very new (just learning how to pronounce the written language) so I am very much looking forward to the challenge . My husband and I are hoping to move to Mexico in three years. 🤞
