I’ve been listening to a lot of Spanish music specifically Baladas, Duolingo has been helping me and Telenovela’s. YouTube is really good as well. I’m not gonna give up, one day I’m going to be fluent in Spanish.

I learned by watching novelas when I was in junior high. Maria la del Barrio was my teacher. 😂

For me the best way to learn, from experience, is with talking to real people. That's how I got better at Spanish and how I learned German.

fun fact: spanish and arabic have so many words in common, like alberca in arabic means بركة which is a water pool or puddle and reads exactly the same as alberca

I'm a half Hispanic whose parents did not teach me Spanish. I want to learn to be closer to my roots. I know enough to have a broken conversation if necessary, like for directions and to order food (which I did the other day. I can barely order in English, I am so proud of myself.). But a casual conversation? Nope. Unfortunately, I cannot get Babbel, but I use Duolingo and language courses. My Spanish class right now is too easy because I already knew most things beforehand, but I learned how to conjugate, which was needed. Anyway, just wanted to share, have a nice day! :)

I love showing your videos to my ML students! They have been working so hard to be fully bilingual to communicate better with their families. Thank you for being awesome!

Babbel is a helpful aid. I used it some. My big jump came when I started learning Spanish phrases along side a phonetics guide, and socializing a lot with friends. I was conversational and dreaming in Spanish by 6 months. I now have a bachelor minor in Spanish Translation from University of Texas. That helped me learn to speak, read and write in Spanish at advanced professional level. In the military, I tested on the DLPT5 as advanced professional after completing university. I had to learn Spanglish on my own, concurrently with Castilian and Mexican Spanish.

As Greek I find Spanish easier than other languages just because its kinda similar to Greek on structure and has similar words.

Well I am multilingual but truly ... it's so easy for me cuz I was born in India (north India) so my first language is hindi BUT I am Muslim too so I learned Arabic (particularly for reading holy texts or books) and Urdu (for being polite while speaking) and of course know English too and since my parents started teaching me from an early age it was as if I knew how to speak it since I was born...so to all parents please teach your native or any necessary language that your child may need since an early age and even if you don't start formally just talk with while using the words of the language you want them to learn...being curious they'll ask and that's how they learn 😊

My son is half Ukrainian and we spend a lot of time with my husband's family so I've focused a lot of energy and making sure he's able to speak it as he gets older, but I want to add in Spanish too when he gets old enough! He gets too confused whenever I try adding it to our daily English and Russian vocabularies
