The full odds shiny Pokémon that appears when you don't even hunt for them will always be top tier. Oh, and you know what's more top tier than that? The shiny you caught during your first playthrough of the game.

Orthworm in Asado desert. Theres a lot that makes certain hunts harder. Like pokemon moving and attacking you or weird terrain making soft resets inefficient or tight terrain decreasing the number of spawns... or water. But with Orthworm you can usually get resets down to 10-ish seconds and always get a ton of spawns. Plus the shiny is super noticeable. It's just so easy.

Hunting paradox pokemon on a friend’s world: It’s so fun having different versions of the game and having to communicate to each other where you are in area zero, and then one can reset to get their herba mystica back while the other saves the game, resets, and boom free shiny paradox

Definitely had some of these happen to me that were super satisfying. I found a shiny zorua hiding as a greedent, got shiny klawf after 3 sandwiches, and found a shiny rockruff and shiny lyconroc at the same time!

Corviknight in area 0 was fun for me watching all these daunting giant birds fly above til you spot the silver one was different than looking on the ground. And they’re so big it’s not as so compared to other flying Pokémon hunts like wingull

Another good area 0 one is flabebe. Running past 15 white flower fairies amassing a following feels like being a pied piper or mother duck until a purple stemmed one with royal blue eyes appears

I remember playing this game with friends over and I found, out of nowhere, a shiny Heracross. Those are the best kinds of shiny hunting stories, the ones where you aren't specifically looking, but one just shows up, and everyone witnesses it.

My favorite has got to be shiny hunting for Salazzle, it's just wild that you can do that in this game, since it used to be one of the harder shinies to get thanks to the gender restriction for evolution

Honestly, any shiny you can hunt with isolated encounter is good. Also I think applin is a pretty interesting shiny hunt

For anyone going for Cyclizar, standing a good distance away from any outbreaks you have of the Pokémon can make it much easier to find, since when they spawn, they naturally just keep gunning it forward until they despawn, meaning you don’t need to set up any picnics to despawn them
