2 months into powerbuilding and I hit my 365lb deadlift! I used wristwraps and a belt.

excellent tip! my brother (the one who did higher max) uses chucks sometimes. i've always used basketball shoes. i'll have to wear a pair of my chucks next time around. thanks!

Thanks for the advice bro! Chucks are one of my favorite shoes to wear on leg days. I typically go with those or the shoes I have on here. They are called Inovates...very flat sole and allow for that push through the heel that you're talking about. You'll almost never find me doing legs with any type of shoe that has a thick sole (most basketball/running shoes). Thanks for the comment!

Also going barefoot is a great way to do these lifts as well. I've done that a few times and it's awesome!

Hey nice job with the deadlifts. You might want to try deadlifting with no shoes or get some chuck taylors. It will help with stability and your ability to press through your heels.

I maxed out today and got 385 and attempted 405 but when I began to pull it I stopped because I think I would have injured myself.  Probably did too many warm up sets. 135, 185, 225, 275, 315, 345, 365, and 385. Also did it after squats.

But I didnt know how much I could lift so I did 345 and 365 to be conservative.

What injury is there if you lift too much? I mean, you can lift a very heavy weight, but what are the bad signs?

Hi I am still a beginner on deadlift and haven't maxed out yet but I'm still pretty strong and I'm 6'0 280lbs and got 365 for 3 reps. I think that's pretty good for a beginner on deadlifts. We will max out in a few weeks I'm to get somewhere over 400lbs. By the way I'm only 15.
