I’m 39 at 5’7 @ 165lbs. I was diagnosed with AFIB about 2 years ago. I had an episode last night around 9pm and it lasted all night. At 10am I went to Walgreens and bought Magnesium Glycinate 240mg (2 tablets) for less than $20 and within less than 5mins my AFIB went away. THANK YOU JESUS 🙏🏽. This is my first time ever taking magnesium glycinate, hopefully this is the answer to my AFIB.

I was diagnosed with asymptomatic paroxysmal atrial flutter/afib after an episode in the hospital. (In layman's terms, I have no symptoms and it only lasts a few hours, and only occurs once in a great while.)

In that episode, my pulse rate was 147 but my atrial rate was in the mid 300s, so the nurses gave me metoprolol IV, magnesium IV, and heparin. Later on, they gave me metoprolol tartrate, but after six hours, I spontaneously went into sinus rhythm with a pulse of 58. The nurses were thrilled about this, so much so they came into the room and told me.

Since then, I've been on metoprolol 100mg, 10mg amlodipine, and 5mg torsemide daily. I had one incident last year that lasted a few hours, but resolved quickly.

Very good for rate/rhythm control. Use it all the time

I am using it and a fib stopped in 15 minutes. Magnesium glycinate 350 mg, 1-2 tablets, and then I took one shake of Collagen protein for repair. Last week when it happened, for 7 hours, I also added a shake of Whey protein for energy buildup.

I already know I’ve had magnesium deficiency since I had preeclampsia with my pregnancy 28 years ago. I had an AFib episode that started at 11pm and I took an electrolyte and extra Cardizen but still it continued. Finally it converted to normal sinus rhythm following a soak in some eqpsom salt (magnesium sulfate delivered through the skin). Yes, magnesium helps AFib

Music is distracting from the message.

I had paradoxical afib 24 years ago
They were prepping me for a cardio version
And gave me IV magnesium
They didn't warm me about the hot flash sensation
Then my in room monitor flatlined (broke) at the same time as the hot hit
Scared me straight into normal sinus rythm

I follow your Chanel it’s awesome. I’m a critical care nurse, I remembered coming across a paper that mentioned Mg for afib. We gave 2g over 20 min with some decrease in the HR. I’ll try to find the paper I saw it and post it in comments.

I wish I could give magnesium to my mother. It’s contraindicated for her condition because of end-stage renal disease. She gets a blood test for magnesium levels. Most of the time it’s normal to a little bit low, but I heard that the body steals magnesium from its tissues to make sure that there’s a normal level in the blood. I’m not sure if that’s accurate but that’s what I heard.

It’s funny I have a fib but can’t take the meds …I started drinking sparkling water, elmhurst from Tesco 89 p a big bottle because I tried taking magnesium in a pill, and almost immediately had a very bad stomach for two days after just one pill!, But my point is since drinking this carbonated water which contains magnesium and potassium I haven’t had one flutter even let alone missing jumping afib s …..it’s a-life changer

Diagnosed with paroxysmal afib in 2020. Really not many symptoms. I take magnesium glycinate and occasionally magnesium taurate. Not on any other meds.

Indeed I use it quite a bit, in most instances perioperatively.
