Great information. I’m 67 and have been training with rings for four years. I’ve suffered from intermittent joint pain mostly shoulder area. But now that you mentioned it I’ve felt no pain in my joints at all recently. All about rest and recovery. With me anyway!👍

I currently have this, I think it's from too much volume from pushups and pullups. I have to exclude this excercises until it heals and I can train these movements again. After 1, 5 years consistent training I learned that quality reps are more important than volume. Good videos Al, keep working out. You are a great inspiration.

I believe the common calisthenics workout structure is a bit problematic.... it usually starts with isometric holds like planche or front lever which puts crazy amounts of stress on the joints... then people start to sets and reps like pull ups/dips etc.... this structure maybe good for strength gains but it's definitely bad for joints.... in weight lifting, you start with low loads high reps and set after set you increase weight/intensity and in your last set, you are ready for high loads....
I do calisthenics for over 4 decades and I usually start with high reps low intensity like dips/pull ups/Push ups etc... I get pumped and after that I try to do some high intensity isometric exercises... of course my strength will be decreased after all these sets and reps but I feel safer....

Thanks bro for putting light on food. What can be added to the diet that helps in healing and reducing inflammation?
Like turmeric in milk, etc.?

Artificial sweeteners don't cause inflammation.

Al - Stevia is NOT known to cause inflammation. Some studies suggest it may have anti-inflammatory properties, though more research is needed to determine the magnitude of this effect.

Think you need to stick to exercise and workout info because your nutrition knowledge is non existent. You're just parroting bro science nonsense. For instance try Looking at gold standard meta analysis studies of artificial sweeteners and inflammation and see what the data says.
