Get a credit card, use it once a month, pay it off each month. First time you carry a balance destroy the card.

Roth ira is NOT TAX FREE
Ira you are taxed on what comes out not what goes in. Whenever you want the money you have it.
Roth IRA you are taxed on what goes in not what comes out and you can’t touch it until you’re 59 1/2 (25%ish-Plus 5% brokers fee)
Essentially
IRA- $100 a month until you you decide you’re done (you can take out portions of money whenever you want but it will be taxed hard)
You make let’s say 700, 000 it’ll be around 550, 000 when it hits your bank
ROTH IRA 100 dollars becomes closer to 60-70 depending on your current time invested
And when you payout at 59 1/2
Your same 700, 000 is all yours. Easy

If you only just got a credit card at 18 ur slackin lol, most people get a card when they get their first job @ like 16
