Man so many of John Hughes movies were such huge parts of my youth and John Candy made so many of them hilarious!!! Didn’t know any of this about their relationship and how it all kind of went down so very interesting to hear. Pretty much Danieka’s favorite movie is National Lampoons and we watch it over and over again throughout the year!!

I was eight years old when John Candy died and even at that age I was totally aware of who he was, had seen a ton of his movies and was completely devastated when I found out about his passing. It was announced on the car radio just after dad picked me up from school 😢 That was one sad car ride home.

John Candy from sctv to the movies he did made so many memories for me and my brother. Everytime we talk we will quote a John Candy line “ is it the hat? Some people don’t like the hat.” Heartbreaking day.
