John Travolta gets emotional at the 95th Academy Awards. The actor made a special appearance to introduce the In Memoriam segment, which featured a performance from Lenny Kravitz. John's introduction paid special tribute to his 'Grease' co-star, Olivia Newton-John, who died last August after battling cancer. John couldn't hold back his tears as he said, 'They've touched our hearts, they made us smile and became dear friends who we will always remain hopelessly devoted to.' Olivia, of course, sang 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' in their 1978 musical film.

I know that had to be tough for John! Losing 3 ppl his wife, Kirstie alley and Olivia! He did such an amazing job. May they all rest in paradise and thank them all for playing a role in all of our lives.

I’m glad to see John Travolta back on stage, especially the Academy Awards. The man has been through a lot and it’s very devastating to see how emotional he was.

He lost his son, his wife, his co-stars, and the people he cared about. My condolences to you John, you’ve always been a phenomenal actor and a strong man. You got this!!

I started crying when he said those lines about Olivia. It shows how much love there was between them after all these years.

I can see why he was getting emotional he was probably thinking of his parents Diana, Jett kelly Olivia, and Kristie, and all the other wonderful friends he has lost couldn't even imagine his pain. What a beautiful tribute to all we have lost this past year🙏🏾❤.

You can't hide mourning. Mr. Travolta didn't even try, as well he shouldn't. He lost too many people in his life. I so appreciate his tears as we all shed them for those we lost.

One of the great traits about John is that he is a sensitive, loving person. And he sure has had some losses in his life. I love that he can show his emotions. That is a real man.

Ugh. I can't even. He was so sincere in his speech. It literally tugged at my heart strings when he made the dedication to Olivia Newton John. When he walked into the stage for the memoriam I knew he would say something in dedication to her. 😢😢

The audible gasp of the audience was heartwrentching when he said that line. John has incredible courage to display those emotions and say those words. Probably the hardest thing he ever had to do aside from losing his son and his wife. My heart goes out to him.
