YOU SIR, are AWESOME!  I recently bought a 5 speed Isuzu Trooper and been watching different videos of tips on how to drive a manual, and the way you explained rev-matching is better and easier to understand than all the other videos I've watched.  Thank you!

Ooooh. I suspected this, but I never actually was taught this. Great! Rev-matching. Perfect. Thank you.

Great vid man! I've been having trouble when I need to down shift to get more power or down shifting coming out of a turn without it bucking and embarrassing myself so this helped a lot!

Your vids are great. I just bought a 08 tc a month ago and you helped me learn how to drive a manual.

It's nice to watch young Evan in this quarantine situation

It was a Tanabe Concept G and Tsudo v2 midpipe

If you slow down, you need to shift down a gear or two. If someone slows down in front of you, take it out of gear, then put it into the appropriate gear when you start moving.

Yessir. I don't even think about using the clutch, shifting, or anything anymore. It just happens.

It's the other way around: You rev match to downshift.
The lower gears require a higher rotation per minute, so you HAVE to go to a higher RPM in order for the gear to operate.
And don't worry, I wouldn't be anything but kind for you guys :)

Didn't even realized this was Evan Shanks until I saw his comments below lol that's awesome! Thanks Evan for the pointers

Well, I have a tsudo midpipe, so it's going to sound a lot louder than just your factory axle-back. I'll still make one though! I don't really like the Megan (drift spec I'm assuming). It's way too angled, and doesn't sound that great for how much it runs you in cost.

If you don't have a sports car (which most people don't) it is wise to brake and not take your car out of gear, but also downshift properly as your car will stall if it gets to too low of an RPM

Go with Megan. I've had some problems & exhaust leaks with the Tsudo.

It won't hurt it too badly. Just don't waaaay over rev and you'll be fine.

Awesome man!! Glad you're liking it!

You are half correct. The lower gears are smaller so they can spin FASTER.

Thanks for that. I actually meant to say something about new M/T vehicles. Appreciate it!

Always start from a dead stop in 1st. If you're rolling you can do 2nd.

Not too fond of GM myself. Slowbalts are awesome cars and all, but all I hear is problems. Glad you're liking your Yota!
