Jimmy Webb is one of the greatest songwriters of all time! Today’s selection adds gravity to that belief. Melancholia wrapped up in beautiful chords although even his happy songs pervade a deep sadness.

Thanks, Lee for sharing these Jimmy Webb gems and the musicians that played on these tracks. Jimmy’s songs always have a melancholy, tug-on-the-heart sentimental melody. He is truly Great! My favorite rendition of “Galveston” was performed by and on Glen Campbell’s tv show, Jimmy on piano. Before the song began, Jimmy described that the slower tempo is how the song was meant to be.
