Thanks, Lee for reminding us all what a great talent Kenny was. The delicacy if his graceful voice and perfect guitar chops got me to rin to “Music Plus” in 1974 to purchase “Like A Seed” and playing it over snd over again. Hey, and thanks for hanging and rapping with me and my pals backstage at The Pantages in ‘77 at a James Taylor concert. We were all so appreciative of that!

My first exposure to Kenny Rankin was on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. He was on with Carson many times, an indication the he was a favorite of Carson's. I really loved his voice. I have a cd of his which is highly prized. I know that Mr. Sklar misses him greatly and it was moving to hear him say so. Leland Sklar, is an honorable and humane man and his comments on the unspeakable death and destruction in Ukraine attest to this. I wish he lived in my neighborhood.

I didn't know you were bass on my favorite song of all time, Leland. Many nights after I'd just come home I would shuffle through my collection to find that record, and lay on the floor staring at the ceiling listening to Hiding Inside Myself. Oh how I love this song.

I was fortunate enough to see Kenny tour the Don Costa produced "The Kenny Rankin Album" release in the late 70's. I have to say that over the decades I've acquired many releases predicated on the players involved and you have been one of my (go to, if Sklar is attached to this project green lights.)
