I loved Return of the grievous angel LP. Every track is brilliant. Gram’s songs will forever be re-imagined.

Mr S. Thank you so much for running with this one as it was I that bought the Return of the Grievous Angel album and started all this.
He seems a bit like van Gogh in that he has become huge and well respected way after his demise.
Thank you once again from the UK Sklarites. We are behind you, have no fear.

I was getting ready to run some errands and I saw Gram Parsons name pop up and decided to stick around.
Thanks for sharing. I think Gram would have approved. This channel is a treasure.

Thanks for pointing people to the visionary genius of Gram Parsons. IMO his recordings with Emmylou Harris are some of the greatest duet performances in the history of country music.✌🏽

Gram Parson was one of the greats who died too soon. Yet, he did create an incredible catalog in such a short time. The tribute album and the program from Sessions at West 54th Street introduced me to Gram. I have been hooked ever since. I learned most of his songs. I wish they would release the entire Sessions at West 54th Street on video. It includes a cover of Wheels that wasn’t on the album. It is as good as music gets.

Gram had a short but interesting life starting w his family history in Winterhaven. So much has been written about Gram. His life and death is something to read about even if you aren't familiar w him. Alot of good music in a short time

Thank you Leland for introducing Gram Parson's influence onto those who are going to seek him out discover how far ahead of his time he was, even if it was short. I remember Richie Furay saying that he asked Gram to show him the chords and how to play Brass Buttons and soon afterward Poco came out with the album Crazy Eyes and Brass Buttons was on the recording. By the way, what a Beautiful song that Richie and the guys did to pay tribute to Gram. Richie's title track Crazy Eyes has been associated in reference to Gram Parsons. Now I'm going to see if I can fetch that cd you talked about and probably buy it. I can hear my wife now, oh, another cd in the mail. Yep! that's right. Always loved Chris Hillman's voice and songs also. Have a Great weekend Folks. Love to All. Doug

Chris Hillman deserves credit for his influence in the same genre. It’s a tragedy Gram didn’t get sober and live a long, productive life. But his demons won out. Brass Buttons is a stunning song.

A really fitting tribute to one of my favorites, Gram Parson. Also, good words spoken about the people suffering in the Ukraine. That seems like a 1940s era problem, happening today.
