Here’s a great example of the 60th Anniversary Custom Shop 1954 Heavy Relic Stratocaster. This guitar is lightweight at 7.22 lbs, offering a well-balanced and highly resonant playing experience. It comes with all original items and is in excellent condition.

The Fender Custom Shop commemorates the Stratocaster's 60th anniversary with the 1954 Heavy Relic Stratocaster, a tribute to the first model year of the world's most iconic electric guitar. It features a meticulously crafted design with premium features and a heavy relic finish that suggests decades of vigorous play and wear.

The guitar boasts a one-piece ash body with a beaten nitrocellulose lacquer finish available in various colours. The one-piece quartersawn maple neck sports a comfortable 1954 "U"-shaped profile and a tinted lacquer finish, while the maple fingerboard has a 9.5-inch radius and 21 6105 frets for effortless modern playability. It’s equipped with three 1954 single-coil Stratocaster pickups that produce a vibrant, vintage sound.

Additional attributes include modern five-way pickup switching, a single-ply white pickguard, a synchronised tremolo bridge with six "patent pending" saddles, and a serial number-stamped tremolo backplate for a nostalgic 1954 touch. The vintage-style tuners and nickel-chrome hardware further enhance its classic appeal. This guitar arrives in a tweed "centre-pocket" case adorned with Stratocaster 60th anniversary embroidery and includes a commemorative 60th anniversary book.

Fantastic. Did these have the 7.25” radius neck and 3-way switch? Most places with the 2024 version 70th anniversary have the 5-way switch and compound 7.25”-9.5” radius neck. It looks like Sweetwater is the only place that has a Custom Shop 1954 70th Anniversary either true 3-way switch and 7.25” radius neck.

To each their own, but I played one of these in a GC and was so thoroughly unimpressed. I think it was around 5, 400 dollars. Insanely overpriced.
