You would think these have all been discovered by now, but no, we recently found an amazing first-year Fender Stratocaster! For those unaware, the first year for the Strat is 1954, and this one is in wonderful condition for its age. Join Trevor and Ken on a journey across a small body of water to a Washington island town to pick up this incredible instrument, and meet not only the son of the original owner and masterful automotive and aerospace machinist Jeff Faris, but also the stunningly beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air he built from the frame up.

I live in Japan and I was moved by this video!
I feel great that guitars exist in life itself in the USA, including the owner's car and his wife's flowers.
My last dream is to visit your shop someday and buy a guitar.

In my dreams, this is what I envision as how heaven is. CARS, GUITARS, PLANTS and paradise.

You guys are really doing some special stuff with these videos. Not just focused on an instrument, you’re transcending that and showing the real connection people have. Thanks!

That 54’ Stratocaster was simply amazing. I’m sure it was bittersweet parting with it, regardless of the offer, because of it’s connection to his beloved father. May it end up in a buyer’s hands, that cherishes it as much as his father once did.✨🎁

The closeups at the end with all the cracks is so beautiful, I'm so glad he kept the original guard

“Are You Ready?” Big smiles from New Zealand man! So sweet, came for the guitar but the sound from that engine melted me

Love that y’all made this video, not just buying his guitar but keeping his fathers legacy alive. Really cool stuff!

This is the best content and editing. Keep making great video not only about the guitars but the stories of them and the people that owned them. Great way to honor them. You’re doing it right

I dig the story behind it. You could tell me it was a 88 model and the love his dad had for the guitar was miles in value. Way more to me than the first run recipe which hasn't changed much. Great video.

Love, Love, Love the color of that Bel-Air, my ‘62 Strat RI is the same color.

50’s colors were taken from those cars…fiesta red, surf green, lake placid blue metallic….awesome family …and a treasure of a guitar.🎸

Another super cool video Trevor! And to think this amazing guitar was right in our own backyard so to speak, how cool is that. I heard the gentleman say it had "TG" on the neck butt which as we know is Tadeo Gomez, this is the real deal and what a great time enjoyed with this wonderful couple on Whidbey. Great job Trevor!
