I wish Jimi Hendrix were still alive today and make videos like this with Eric Clapton, just talking about their glorious past, reviewing guitars, exchanging licks..man oh man

This man has been there for much of music history in the making.
He has seen some of the greatest of all time, he has played with them, he is one of them.

At 7:30 it's the greatest moment of the interview. You can really tell he is exactly remembering those days. It's not just the guitar as a beautiful tool, it's what it brings back, the memories, the sessions, his bandmates. A time machine.

Eric Clapton: buddy holly played one
David Gilmour: Buddy holly played one
Im a pink floyd fan and fun to see they have the same inspiration

"Yeah, that'll do." And that grin. Wow! What a wonderfully warm, understated response. He was truly impressed. I can't imagine what the Fender guys must have felt to get such a warm approval from such a legend. Job well done!

Clapton's playing has made my life so enjoyable and rich. I can never get enough of his sound.

I know I’ll never be famous or be a professional guitarist but Eric Clapton made me want to learn to play a guitar when I was 13. I’m 44yrs old as I write this and still love to play the guitar. The older I get the more I appreciate the man who inspired me to play. Not only is he a great guitarist but the more I listen the more I am amazed at his singing and the sound of his voice!

I saw Eric on New Years Eve, half mile from my home, playing a benefit charity Gig, forget nostalgia, this man is still a World class entertainer as fresh as anyone

I agree with Eric i'm definitely more of a Maple fretboard kind of guy.

I would literally do anything just to sit in a room with him and listen to him tell stories. ANYTHING.

This man is history. And anything he touches and plays becomes history and part of a legend as well. I'd be honored to be in the same room with this guitar, let alone in the same room with EC

Eric is a class guy, I was lucky enough to see him with John Mayall's band in the Twisted Wheel Club in Manchester UK, I also got to see Cream's earliest gigs at the wheel on an off night, just jamming an audience of maybe 20 or 30 people who had no clue that this was a seminal event, Eric, always approachable would hang around the stage and I remember asking him how could he bend the strings so easily he shared all tricks with me (I was only 15) but he treated me like a fellow journeyman.

No-one inspired me more than EC. On my new album I play a 1990 Blackie and and 2010 Blackie. The sound is so unique. Thank you Eric for the soundtrack of my life 🎸🎸🎸

Clapton could make the cheapest plywood guitar sing.  He lovingly looks at Brownie  "Darling you are the love of my life, just don't tell Blackie"

My neighbor used to play bass for Clapton. I always wanted to talk to him about it but unfortunately he passed a few months ago. May he rest in peace

An animated storyteller and someone who's able to clearly articulate his thoughts. I think it was a part of his success as an artist, although there were of course lots of obstacles to overcome.

Friggin hilarious, Clapton grabs brownie and just uses it regularly. These boys treat it like the Arc of the covenant haha

The thing about rosewood necks cracked me up. Perfectly describes how I’ve been feeling about rosewood necks since I started playing, and I never knew how to say it. The feeling of going “against the grain”. The man is a wordsmith and a genius of an entirely different caliber.

Eric Clapton: Don't touch it!
Fender Technician: We'll I wasn't going to touch it, I was just pointing at it.
Eric Clapton: Well... don't point! It can't be played. Don't point, okay
Fender Technician: Can I look at it?
Eric Clapton: No. no. That's it, you've seen enough of that one.
