The thing about the Stratocaster that makes it absolutely timeless and absolutely beautiful is that it was designed to complement the human form. Like no other design, it sits perfectly within the grasp of the player. Such care was taken to make it completely functional... and because of that, its beauty has never aged and never will. Modern designers, no matter what their field is, need to pay heed to this... FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION, not the other way around!!! There are other instruments that catch the eye and play well... but for me, as long as there are humans, the Stratocaster is THE GUITAR.
