How Long Does It Take To Learn To Drive-An Honest Answer

In this video, I answer a simple driving question. The question is: How long does it take to learn to drive? I give you my honest opinion and incorporate my professional judgement, along with some averages. I am not speaking to the local requirements for getting your license; I am instead telling you the number of hours that I think that it takes to actually be really good at the skill of driving a vehicle.

Me personally held my learners license for 3 years not because I needed three years to practice just because I had no need to get my drivers license right away. When It was finally time to get my license I practiced for good month before getting it. But now that I got it I’m still learning as I drive around. The learning process never ends.

I started my lessons end of Oct, and got my license early Jan. That’s with 10hr in car driving lessons + practice with family!

Driving with someone you really trust at like 3-4 in the morning is very helpful if you are just starting out

A driving school I was looking at was offering me 6 hours for defensive driving class and 6 hours driving with an instructor for $450. I hate to spend that much when I could use it elsewhere but then again no one has offered to help me drive anytime else

Its not about that. Its really about how long does it take you to get the minimum requirement for a liscence or how long it takes you to become a skilled driver ready to handle pretty much everything on the road? Its not a clear cut answer. Everyone is different and it is dependent on the skill level you seek. You can either meet the minimum requirements which is fine or go a little extra like get good on highways and learn defensive driving maneuvers etc.

I took less than two hours and learnt to drive along with watching YouTube tutorials and my driving lessons.

If you're good at videogames, you'll pick up driving in no time. I've hit top 500 in this popular action game called destiny 2. And from my experience of driving and destiny and other games, the learning curve is exactly the same-- learn the basics, then stitch em together. The problem for a lot of people is the stitching together. There's unfortunately no secret sauce for that part, except maybe sleep. But if you find yourself getting really good at fps games in a short amount of time, you'll quickly learn how to drive, np. Certain states will not recognize that learning ability, unfortunately. Let's go Florida! I wonder why so many people here drive without a license and insurance...

I only had a total of 12 hours of driving.. I got my driver permit in August and got my License in November

It took me just 2 3 days to drive the car. Nobody believes me. And i drive like a king Alhamdulillah

I learned how to drive by myself. My mom was too scared to teach me in her brand new jeep. So i Brought me a car cash. Around 4 grand. Don’t recommend this but i drove around my area no further than 5 minutes away from the house and my neighborhood Every day or so for about three months my friend gave me her old tag to practice. I also did three hours of driving school. A week before my test. Passed first try.

I got my permit this week but I don’t think I’ll ever learn how to drive all the schools near me are closed for covid or just won’t respond back and my family won’t help me.

I've been learning to drive since last 2 months and still not able to drive perfectly I don't understand one thing about me is that why is it taking me so long just to learn driving a car.. everyday i practice for about one hour and I'm still not able to grasp the concepts properly.. for the rest of the things it never took me so long in learning like for example about swimming.. just only after 5 days I was able to dive and even go underwater that much quick learning.. but about driving it's literally different I've been repeatedly making same mistakes again and again but still not able to clear out
