So the 6r80 torque converter should basically just pop in the same way the stock 4r70w one does? A lot of the other adapters Ive seen have some kind of different pilot bushing or spacer for the torque converter.

Also you have to bolt it to the engine first correct?

So this must mean that the input shafts are compatible too?

Two thoughts, the 1/4" spacing difference of the TC, and the starter thread depth. Can you weld more steel onto the spacer for the starter threads? The TC is moved forward the 1/4" distance of the spacer plate. Is that undesirable to have the TC out of the trans any different amount than stock? The PA aftermarket spacer kit is 1/2" and uses weak 1/2" stud extensions. I would not want to trust those to hold the TC onto the flexplate. I would prefer on those to have a TC with 1/2" extended stud bosses.

I like the 1/4" spacer idea, but the TC ideally needs to be the same stock distance within the transmission. Have these two things been brought up before?

Do I use a 10.5 inch foxbody clutch for tr3650 and does the extra thickness of the plate effect the input shaft to pilot bushing distance?

So are these adapters plates ready to be purchased? I’d like to drop a 10 or 6r80 into my 96 f150 w/ the 351w. Any way I can get in contact with you?
