YT premium is one of the few services that doesn’t care about who is in the family plan.

Its the whole reason why I left spotify.

For an account that allows up to 6 people, the plan is surprisingly cheap.

Every time I visit someone's house that doesn't have Premium, I'm reminded how obnoxious ads on YT are. Combine it with Ublock and I haven't really seen ads in years.

Also I switched to YT Music from Spotify. It's not as good of a service yet but I'm happy to save money. To top it off, a lot of creators say that Premium is way more supportive for them than ads are. If that matters to you, and you watch a lot of YT, it's kind of a no-brainer.

I joined Red too. Youtube is basically what I use for TV. I did not realize how many commercials are played on videos in the middle of videos before and after videos. There's no way I could switch back. I'll cancel Netflix and Hulu and everything before canceling this

I cancelled my YouTube premium at the end of my subscription this year for one day and regretted it immediately. After about 30min, I resubbed for a year. I haven't heard an ad for almost a decade and after hearing one, I was out.

EASY YES to be honest, even if they increased prices recently. If you don't watch a lot of movies, Youtube itself has a lot of news, documentaries and videos from various creators - including podcasts. Youtube Music still needs a bit of work but it works if you only have a particular set of music to listen to.

I'd still prefer just having Youtube Premium than having multiple streaming service subscriptions just to watch certain content like Marvel or DC or HBO or something, those subs add up once a month.

I have YT premium and I love the YouTube music and no ads piece. To me my time is more valuable I listen to a lot of music and watch a lot of videos on YouTube, so for me it is a no brainer, great video!!

I just started and let me tell you YouTube with no ads is great. I don’t much care for YouTube Music. It would be nice if you could get all the features of YouTube premium without YouTube Music at a lower price. Maybe $8.99 a month?

I didn't even know I could check my lifetime stats. Had it since Red as well. 7800 hours of ad-free videos. I don't have cable, share the ad-supported Netflix with a friend, have Prime Video because I have Amazon Prime, and my gf pays for Hulu/HBO and added me to those at no-cost. Despite having access to all these services, YouTube Premium is still like 95% of the content I consume. I also use YouTube Music every day at the gym so that's a bonus.

YouTube Premium has been the best, most noticeable subscription i’ve ever had. By cancelling Spotify and subscribing, its value proposition is fantastic imo

I can never go back to normal youtube. I see people using normal youtube and i immediately feel glad i switched to premium. It's worth it. it's totally worth it. The amount of time it saves and annoyance it removes is alone worth the fee of admission.

Definitely worth it. I follow a lot of content creators and documentaries.. having ads popping up is very distracting, particularly when I just want to relax.

Adguard takes care of the ads on my computer. Only watch YT on my phone a few times a week, so no Premium needed.
And besides that, the price is too high.
