I love Excursions! I sold my first one (a V10) a few years ago after owning it for 15 years. I missed it so much that I bought another V10 in November. Ford really needs to listen to their customers and start making them again.

A couple of years ago my wifes company planned a trip. I was chosen to drive the V10 Excursion with 8 people and the luggage that comes with them from Denver, CO to Salida, Co to do some white water rafting. it had no problem climbing up the Kenosha Pass with all the weight. Also had no problem cruising at 75mph either.

We owned a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited Version for 10 years, basically hauled our 4 kids around in it while they were growing up. Great Machine, was always reliable. A little big but you get used to it after you drive it a while. Only thing I hated about it was 10 miles per gallon!

I bought my "new to me" 2002 gmt800 esclaade AWD V8 6.0 back in 2022 in march, I love that truck and then i saw this truck with the 6.8 V10, man I'd love to own this as i'd make it look exactly how a mountain truck should be. Some day soon.

He just spent $30 in gas by revving it up at the beginning. That’s dedication

This truck has a set of the VERY rare rear hatch Net Storage Containers! It's incredibly rare to see that and impossible to find a set for sale. Ussually it's just plastic and carpet there. Good job!

When we finalized the clay models in March of 1993 for 99+ super duty and f650 and f750, we snagged an occupant package for the chevy suburban, made it a few inches bigger everywhere and BANG! Now you know 1 of about 75 people who have something to do with it's existence!!

What gets me about these things is that 10 years ago the only time you'd see them is in the ghetto areas...all worn out, spewing black smoke and body panels hanging off. Now I hear that a really clean 7.3 Limited or Bauer will sell for nearly 40 grand. Those V10s are good motors...but a buddy of mine who had one told me he couldn't get out of the single digits no matter how hard he tried. Said it did better on the highway...around 13. Good, but thirsty. The new Godzilla (which I have) is better in town, around 11...and it's getting close to 15 on the highway if I take it easy. The drawback with these older vehicles is the transmission...just not enough gears.

Awesome video. I love my Excursion... couldn't imagine driving anything else. She's a beast, I cry at the pump lol but I wouldn't change a thing.

I have 2 2000 excursions. One white 4wd and one red rwd both limiteds with the V-10 motors. Some years ago I took my white one to the dealership because it seemed to be using oil. The meachanic told me that the V-10 was designed to blow an oil aerasol out thru the exhaust valves to keep them in good shape. So it wasn't that it was burning oil but rather it was just a design feature of the V-10 motor.

We bought a 2001 7.3 excursion back in 2004. It's 2023 I still drive it a couple of days a week it's got 298, 000 mi on it still runs like a clock. I would just really love to get a paint job on it, it would be well worth it.

The V10’s are so much more reliable, they’re very capable tow rigs and they’re significantly cheaper to buy
