Remember people, you can't just slot any M.2 into the PS5. The PS5 requires the drive have the speed to play the games from it. Make sure the drive you buy is compatible with the PS5.

Little tip: only because a SSD isn't licensed, it still works. I have a Kingston one which only costed half of the WD black one and it still works perfectly fine.

Oh, I was supposed to use the ring while installing my SSD. I can assure you that it works without it as well.

I just picked this up recently. Kinda was forced to, it's going to hurt me pretty soon when FF7 Rebirth comes out and I can't afford it but was definitely worth picking this up regardless.

I got the PS5 on launch day. I spent 260$ at Best Buy for the Seagate Barracuda 1tb. The prices have dropped so much since that time. I won't put 8gbs in mine, I just don't need that much. But I would upgrade from my 1tb to a 4tb if I waited and was able to get one for a good price!

I have 140 games on my 2TB NVMe SSD, of about 1.2TB of games worth. Not including any emulated titles. I am talking about my PC. I have to say, a bit surprised they are so big as most of them are not very new titles.
