before you buy ps5 controllers, check for this

If you are buying a new PlayStation 5 Controller, make sure to check the FCC ID on the back, as some PS5 controllers are prone to issues with the adaptive triggers and the joysticks. Sony released a upgraded version and I'll show you how to check for it in this video.

To explain to those who don't know about the A and B and no a/b. Basically, the one's without A/B were one of the first ever made controllers for the ps5, so they are more likely to get stick drift. Where as A/B aren't. A was made like a year after the ps5 was released, and B is after the slim was released. So if you have a slim, you got a B controller. Whereas for people who bought a ps5 a year or 2 after it originally launched, you got an A controller. Both a/b are good.

Japan Set Dualsense doesn't have FCC ID .. so to check it, press down the Trigger and check middle part of it, if the spring placed right under the L2 and R2 text while the side of it covered, its the new one .. OR, you can confirm yourself a new one if you buy the Galactic Purple , Nova Pink and Starlight Blue

When I first got my PS5 controllers, I noticed that they had a bit of stick drift, and the L2 and R2 springs broke wayyyy too easily. Thanks for telling us this!

I have 1 at the end on both of my controllers, have had my PS5 for about an year and a half now with zero stick drift issues...and I play it almost daily.

Bought mine day one. The square button is going soft, the touch pad gets stuck and the R2 is getting weak too. The amazing thing is, when the haptics kick in, it still has full resistance so on games like RB6 it stops me from accidentally popping off lol. Still love my day one controller

I have the base ps5 controller and i dont have drift issues. The adaptive triggers a little but i turn mine on a lower setting anyway so i dont really feel it being clunky. In the end its about how you take care of your controllers. I also have the newer controllers because a second controller makes you able to game all day no problem.

I got 2 with the A at the end (new one). Both joysticks broke going left and I'm sending both in right now for warranty repair on the joysticks

I got ps5 day 1 and I have really bad stick drift 1 of my 2 controllers. I wish they implemented hall effect joysticks

I have the latest version (A). Still has stick drift though…

So I guess it doesn’t matter which version you have.
