Not possible to change the temps here in Sacramento, Ca. 103 today, same tomorrow. Maybe cooling for the weekend. By July it is usually well over 100 every day until late Sept. I prune my tomatoes and use shade cover in the late afternoons. In this vicinity we have thousands of acres of field tomatoes and I see loaded trucks off to processing plants well into Sept. I picked my first ripe “sweet 100” today, June 3, 2020. I think this is close to the earliest I remember picking ripe tomatoes last year I missed the first crop because we were on a cruise. Thats cancelled this year so I am home eating BLT’s !

Brian, here's a question for a future FAQ. I bought a bunch of products you recommended from Neptune's Harvest, and I am pleased with them. However, I see now I am going to run out of Tomato & Veg fairly soon. I have a large vegetable garden and having some problems (long story) so my plants are needing support and I am 1/2 way through my gallon already. This stuff is expensive. Can you show us how to make liquid fertilizer that we can use every 2 weeks?

When using mulching on raised bed is there any effects to the plants if you use color mulch?
