Is Modesty Really that Important for Christian Women?

Hey Friends! Today I'm talking about a hot topic. It's summertime and the perfect time to talk about modesty as a Christian woman. I wanted to discuss a very common excuse Christian women make to not dress modestly and why modesty IS important for us to practice. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Well put! As a mom of 3 daughters, this conversation is a regular one in our household. We go through even bible stories, that exemplify this. God "clothed" Adam and eve in the garden. When the man was healed in the new testament, he was "clothed and in his right mind" and at Jesus feet. This was a sign of being the Lord's restoration. We talk about how the Father clothes us. We can be in fashion and have all personal body parts covered. I want my girls as adults to be heard and respected. I believe dress code can help with this. 💖💖💖Thanks for your stance! We may feel as though we walk alone, but I believe what we instill will outlive us.💖💖💖

When I hear the excuse “ it’s not my fault!” I find it sad that they view these men as perverted or something if it affects them....what they seem to miss is that men were designed by God to find a women attractive! It’s very wonderful and important! But the women weren’t supposed to share this all with the whole world. It was supposed to stay inside the relationship!

Well said. I think that young women in particular don't realise that by looking sexy they are also attracting the wrong kind of man. One who is just lusting after their body. That all he wants is sex nothing more.
