“Draw attention from your obedience to Him rather than drawing attention to the flesh (which betrays us)” I love this!!

Yes! My modesty journey didn’t happen overnight but God has been so patient with me 🙂 I no longer have a desire to show everything off but to cover my body instead. I don’t NEED or want that type of attention for men. I want to dress in a way that honors and glorifies God 🕊️🙏🏼❤️ I want to represent Christ in the best way possible. It’s not about me, it’s about Him!

Do you want a man to truly love, honor, and respect you, or only be attracted to your body? Because your body will change. What then?

It's sad because I feel like as an African-American woman hypersexuality saturates our image and perception of each other and ourselves. The black american culture outside of the church makes it so difficult to embrace modesty. So pray for us and those who experience what I'm talking about, stay encouraged it is okay to be different than what they tell us to be like 🥰

Modesty is for both men and women. And it's not just about the way that we dress it's also about the way that we speak and the way that we act.

I'm not Christain, but this is a fantastic video and I completely agree that modesty is much more than how you dress.

If God didn’t care about what we wore, Moses wouldn’t have had to take off his sandals, and He would’ve left Adam and Eve wearing what they sowed up with leaves, instead he made them tunics before they left Eden. ☝🏾

How you get'em is how you keep'em. Beauty fades with time Godly character shows it's value

Great conversation!
We don’t need to expose our bodies in a sensual, seductive or sexy way in order to be feminine and beautiful

The Lord blessed me to understand the beauty of modesty...And that it's is about, as you said, the heart AND externals. God is wonderful and His Word is beautiful 🎈

Wonderful message, not just what you do on Sundays but every day of your life.

Most "Christians" reject the message of modesty because they're in full-blown rebellion. They profess to love Christ, but are in bed with the world.

We live in a me-centric society where it's all about _me, me, me!_ The mentality is "If it makes me feel good, then I do it. I don't care about anyone else."

It's only after the scales are removed from those eyes where people truly begin to awaken to the horrors of their selfish actions. But it's only through a renewed mind of Christ where people gain that perspective.

God desires the women to be holy and be sanctified for his purpose. To be different from the world. He hates lust and he wants their hearts to be pure and etc. Thank y'all for this video God bless y'all

Modesty, in the Bible, addressed women dressing too elaborately and lavishly and paying no attention to good works. It's about frugality more than covering up nakedness. The Bible correctly assumes that most of us know walking around naked is shameful.
Now, women react badly to modesty as most churches preach it because it puts the onus of another person's sin on them. It betrays that some Christians would rather control everything but themselves, yet the Bible tells us that we have been given a spirit of power, love and SELF-CONTROL.
Gentlemen, you must deal with the sin of lust in the same way that everyone deals with sins they struggle with - pray, resist, and know that God is your strength even when you are weak. It is very illogical to make women in church dress in a certain way "for the sake of their brothers" when these same men will go home and watch porn. We live in a fallen world - even if every Christian woman decided to wear a hijab and burqa, these men will still have to contend with the others who don't want to.

Loved this - I will admit sometimes even as a single Christian I need this reminder.

Also, this brother and I attend the same church lol, nice to see a familiar face on the channel.

Modest dressing should go both ways, not just women. Women lust as well, and rightfully many women not like their man getting checled out. After all, the same man who thinks nada of getting checked out don't want his women getting checked out or that same man who do not want his lady checking out other guys don't stop himself from checking out other women.

Modesty also applies to wealth and ostentatiousness; I don’t see this topic being addressed as much as the sexual aspect of it.

Beautiful analysis, your attention should not be about you, but about God himself!!
