Is modesty a scam? I can’t understand why people are threatened when women choose to dress modestly!

This is so true! I choose to dress not modestly solely for fashion purposes and for my own enjoyment. It’s those “nosy critics” that are never happy: you’re dressing too modestly, you’re dressing to revealingly, you’re dressing too weirdly. Just let people live their lives and wear what they want…

Yesss 100%!!!!
I really am so over everyone trying to sexualize my body like yoo back off, i don't want to show you the shape of my body!!!
Going shopping is so exhausting - every piece of clothing is about how much skin i can show. Ffff I'm so over it

I’m not Muslim but I seriously couldn’t agree more! I also love the way you use color in your outfits, you look amazing

I am not Muslim, but I'm constantly inspired by Hijabi women when it comes to my own way of dressing. I love the way Hijabis conceptualize and find empowerment through modesty. Many other religions encourage modesty, but something about Hijab that makes it extra special and insightful, I don't know why exactly. Much love to all Hijabi 💖

You are literally amazing! I wish I can have a faith as strong as yours, Mashallah... Before, I was about to take off my Hijab because I'm going to study in the US and I didn't want to be abused or bullied for it... But your videos were a huge comfort for me and it made me think that it is their fault that they don't accept me and not my fault that I dress in the way that fulfills my spiritual life

You have to realize that as a woman, no matter how you dress you will be criticized. So instead of trying to please the world, dress to please yourself and your beliefs!

I think people are threatend by things they don't understand. And they don't take the time to understand it. Instead they take to the internet to be bullies. It's sad.

People should be allowed to dress however within the law of where they reside. Women will be judged no matter what we wear it’s a can’t win type of battle.

"LOVE THIS, A VERY GOOD STRONG POINT THERE SIS!?." 'I LOVE IT SOO-MUCH, OK?' "'GOD BLESS U AND UR FAMILY IN NEW ZEALAND!.'" "RESPECT & 'MODESTY' IS NOT EVEN A 'SCAM' AT ALL OK?" 'EVEN WHEN IT'S 'NONE' OF THIER BUSINESS WHEN SOCIETY IS SO USE TO SEEING NAKED WOMEN NOWADAYS & BY JUGDING THIS TOO!' UK!

I like how different people have different views on things. Like we see a lot of influencers dressing cute/sexy or in a original way and that's their way of showing their personality and taking control on their bodies, and your way is totally different. It's super interesting to see the differences and I just love to see different views coexist together

I am LOVING this girls content. Thank you so much, not just for the modesty commentary, which is brilliant, poignant, and so real and true, but for opening up about Islam and your spiritual beliefs too!

Oh my goodness thank you for calling this out and inspiring us girls who choose modesty. I'm not a Muslim, but I choose modesty as a young Christian woman and it is hard sometimes. Thank you for your amazing spirit sister

I totally agree being able to dress how you want for the sole purpose of wanting to enjoy your fashion is something that we shouldn't judge others for... I've always hated the way this world works... if you show to much that's wrong if you don't show enough that's also wrong if you show just the right amount (according to people's views) you're not trying... I learned early on that it's best to dress for you and no else... after not being able to pick out my own clothes until I was 12.. then not knowing what to wear because I've never had to pick... I'm almost an adult now and I'm still finding new ways to dress to make myself comfortable.... it's also amazing that you've also found a way to take control of those choices! :]

Everything is not about the body. Consciousness is what we should work on
You say this but ignore how women are called immodest in your community when they don't cover up. 😊

I honestly don’t know why!

Personally my body type and the type of clothes and necklines that suit my frame mean I have to be a bit more immodest, but there is NO reason to shame, scream at, harass, or be shocked by people choosing modesty.

If I get the choice to be immodest, others get the choice to be modest too.

It’s amazing how by the way you explain things can yield and entirely different outcome. What I mean by this is I watched another video of a woman explaining this that others to offense to versus how this woman explained it that got more positive and encouraging results. I also dress modest and agree with how she explained it. Words and how you use them does matter!!!!❤

I feel like these kinds of videos ride a line between reinforcing a person’s right to choose how to dress, including when they dress conservatively— versus trying to sell modesty as the better option.

That might speak to the reason why people get upset about it, though— maybe they’re reading something into it that’s not there, and you really are saying that everyone should choose how they dress according to their values or preferences.

Personally, I value the overall happiness I get from playing with certain immodest design elements in fashion. I don’t care what people think when they look at me, and sometimes I think part of my body matches my outfit more than trying to cover it would.

If I do care what they think (like for a job interview) then I’ll change for that specific event. That’s still me taking control.

I’m not trying to argue, btw, just articulate my thoughts about modesty. Nothing but love! 💜
