I know some verbal tics can hurt if they're really straining on your vocal chords or if you can't stop a repeated tic and lose your voice. I think Sweet Anita (Twitch Streamer) or maybe Evie Meg (This Trippy Hippy on YouTube) have talked about it before.

I have a question: do you follow any other creators online who talk about their Tourette’s? Are there certain famous people or people from history with Tourette’s that you look up to? Or do you know anyone personally?

In my experience I have noticed that on my bad tic days often doing my neck and shoulder tics it hurts sometimes because it feels tight but I understand it is different for everyone

Not quite relevant to the video but feel like this is a good place to vent. I’m in an outpatient program for mental health so we have a lot of meditations during our group therapy. When I’m supposed to sit still and not move my facial tics flare up so much worse. I was so irritated when the group leader was like “when you feel like your tics are coming on just stop them and try to refocus on something else” like maam you are clearly not educated. Basically in not so nice terms she said “just stop doing it”

You should try to get some kind of gloves that you can wear on bad tics days. Something that won't hurt you or harm your skin, that way you don't keep hurting and bruising yourself 😌

Hey got a question for you it would be great if you could make a small vid on this.

I don’t have verbal tics, but I do have what I’ve labelled as a “tic reaction” like- after I tic I’ll say like “f*ck off” or “thank you” or “oh hi” like… to the tics 😂 and I genuinely don’t think it’s a verbal tic but just incase it is, how does a verbal tic feel? Xx

Ouch I just imagined the neck tics if you accidentally hurt your neck in some way (like sleeping in the wrong way or something like that) that would hurt! I sleep so randomly so I always wake up with random pains lol.

I get a lot of neck tics, I don’t have Tourette’s (although it does run in my family) but my neck cranks get really harsh and often hurt a fair amount, it sucks…

My best friend in the 5th grade had the same ones as you get and ppl were mean and awful and laugh at him I stood up for him and beat the bullies for him

I don't have Tourette's but i get little tics when I'm stressed and i have a neck twitching tic and sometimes it can pop my neck like really badly and it hurts like hell 😭

I have a lot of head jerking, sometimes I crack the shit out of my neck and it can be very painful, but that doesn't happen often.

I have no idea how poeple deal with this, probably cause I was born healthy. No allergy’s and no medical conditions. Which honestly makes me feel less unique.

Am I the only one that gets a funky feeling in my chest just before a tic happens?
If that feeling stays for long it always gives me a headache
