They don't just change for me, but morph over time.
Like I had a tic where I would say "peep!". Months later it morphed into "peek", which then became "peeka", and of course my brain just _had_ to eventually turn that into "pikachu." 🙄

I'm fairly certain my boyfriend has tourettes because he has facial tics, nose scrunching, coughing, eye twitching, mouth stretching etc. He hasn't been diagnosed "Officially" but he's always had it; they've slightly changed overtime but he's always had the facial tics. But just recently (as of maybe a year ago) developed the coughing/barking tics.

My poor son! I homeschooled him throughout elementary and middle school, but about a week before he was to start high school - first day of school ever- he developed a pig oink tic 😩 (most of his audible tics up until then had been coughs or something similar that is easy to hide). He was terrified, but everyone was very nice and handled it very well. Bravo for putting out accurate information about Tourette's 👏

I have Tourette’s too, and it’s very validating to know that other people share experiences with me! I relate to this video a hell of a lot, and while I was only diagnosed like 3-4 years ago, I still went through a lot of change regarding my tics

Thank you for explaining. I have tics, but they’re caused by myoclonic epilepsy in my jaw/tongue so I stutter a lot. It’s hard to speak full sentences sometimes. Most people think I have Tourette’s.

I have a question too: do you ever notice a connection to Your life, an experience, your phase of life or themes that link to the tics or set of a tic? Like Ddo different words come on at different age that somehow relate to your then experiences or use of words?
