Black Myth Wukong - Horse Guai Quest Walkthrough (Urge Unfulfilled Trophy)

There is a lengthy quest spanning most of the game that involves a Horse Guai NPC named Ma Tianba. For his quest, you need to speak with him in each chapter as you progress through the game. Completing the Horse Guai's Quest will reward you with the "Dark Thunder" transformation, as well as the "Urge Unfulfilled" trophy / achievement.

You can become locked out of this quest if you do not speak to the Horse Guai in each chapter and then defeat the Keeper of the Flaming Mountains Main Boss in Chapter 5, so be aware of that. It's also important you completly exhaust his dialogue as he won't move to the next chapter unless you do.

For those who haven't locked the quest in chapter 5 and missed the horse in chapters 3 and 4, go back to chapter 1 or 2 to see if he's there, and talk to him until he repeats the last dialogue over and over again. It should work (I can confirm that it works)

He was a good horse man. He don’t deserve that. Also. I did go back and talk to him when I missed him at chapter 3. So you are able to go back to the bamboo forest and start the quest.

A little correction for the fourth encounter: the closest shrine is the Cliff of Oblivion shrine. U arrive, U turn left, and drop down the edge, then run forth Till U see the egg.
Beware tho cus U take serious dmg from falling.

I am locked out of this quest. I completed the game and unable to complete this quest now. The game needs to seriously fix trophy-linked quests. You can't simply lock people of a very confusing quest, especially when the game does not have a legend that informs you that a particular side quest has been activated and gives you direction. Now, I am going to miss the platinum trophy simply because of confusing quests like these. I hate this aspect of the game so much. Enjoying the game, otherwise, but to be blunt: the game needs a legend for trophy-linked quests.

The quest locks if you pull the rope when you haven't interacted with the horseguai in the previous chapters, i loaded a backup from right before beating chap 4 boss and he was still there in ch1 location. So, if you've touched the butt do yourself a favor and load a backup from before you went and did that. In summary, don't touch the rope and don't beat the yin yang dude if you haven't talked to the horse in every chapter, only touch the rope once you've talked with the horse dude in every chapter and have beaten the yin yang man.

Okay, i spent the last four hours trying to get this transformation from chapter five. (I beat the all the bosses up to yin fish like four times trying haha)
I went to steam library > wukong > browse local files > B1 > saved > Saved backup

*Do NOT pull cord before killing yin fish at very end

YOU CAN GET THIS FROM CHAPTER FIVE ONWARDS. JUST DO NOT ACTIVATE THE SHRINE FROM THE EMERAL HALL. Valley entrance at the max.
1. Before you do anything in chapter five onwards, check your shrine and talk to the horse guai in every chapter until dialog end. (You should have the trailblazer scarlet's gourd by the end of chapter three.) He is in the webbed hollow > middle hollow in chapter four. (Watch guide for chapter one and two). The NC icon should show on the area where you should talk to him. Keep talking and exhausting dialog till chapter four
2. Proceed and kill the yin yang fish. (Second phase after keeper)
3. Go back to furnace valley valley entrance and proceed to where the cord is located in the cart
4. The dialogue should play and the action should state pull forcibly.
5. Dark thunder acquired
