This video shows a modified box breathing exercise to lower blood pressure. Basic box breathing exercise consists of 4 parts: 4 sec inhale, 4 sec hold, 4 sec exhale, 4 sec hold. The modified version of box breathing exercise consists of these 4 parts: 4 sec inhale, 4 sec hold, 6 sec inhale and 2 sec holds. Longer exhale emphasises focus on activating parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for the 'rest and digest' behaviour. It helps us to calm down and dilate our blood vessels to lower blood pressure.
The additional benefit of this breathing video is that it also includes a specially created piece of relaxation music which targets our parasympathetic nervous system and helps us to lower blood pressure even further. This music also includes so called binaural beats embedded specifically created by Artificial Intelligence software. Binaural beats in this video consists of one audio stream of 300 Hz waves and the other audio stream of 310 Hz. For maximum health benefits these two audio streams are delivered to left and right ears through headphones.
