Well to be fair, when you hear a language you don't know, it does sound like a bunch of unknown noises

I think they were just very picky children who only liked to eat greenbeans, so their skin turned green. It's not unheard of, my parents tell me when I was a baby I would refuse to eat any baby food that didn't have carrots in it, and my skin for a while was tinted orange. Most other things of course can be explained by them being from another country, except the girl thinking everyone where she was from was green. It could be that either she misremebered, or that she was a child and just making up a story about what happened to her.

Yet another great middle grade novel idea! 😂 I'd never heard of this one - so delightfully odd. It really does sound like a strange, mildly creepy nursery rhyme...green children eating only green beans.... hehe

for me this case is so weird because the Spanish and French have the same story, word by word, only the places and people names change

Hmm well people of Mediterranean can have greenish skin when we're pale. So that seems most likely what the green color was.

I have olive skin with an olive(green) undertone, and I have Cyclic vomiting syndrome, and whenever I'm having an episode, apparently I will be green. Not bright green, but I'll just be green. I haven't ever actually seen it(I don't remember a lot of my episodes, I usually only remember the start and end) but my partner has said it, along with my dad, a few different EMS, and a couple nurses, have all mentioned how green I am🤷‍♀️
