A different perspective... I agree with your definition of masculinity, but I'll say this... a masculine man is someone who uses his strength to create a healthy living environment for everyone he touches. Safety, Growth, and success. A toxic man does all those same things to some extent, but only for his own purposes. Selfishness VS Service. That's the difference

Take this how you wanna.

"A strong man stands up for himself. A stronger man, stands up for others"

I think the difference between the two is one being a good person and the other not lol

Opening doors, being willing to step up etc, it’s attractive and healthy in both men and women when they do it, unhealthy people use tactics and play games

It’s not about being masculine or feminine, it’s about being a kind, confident badass no matter your gender ❤

Bad boys are not always masculine either. Masculinity is mature, stoic and courageous.

I agree. Toxicity is passed down from the parent because they got it from a parent. You dont need to act too tough in this world unless your trying to make up up for something

People who use the term toxic masculinity have never met a masculine man

Why is this even an issue? There were, are and always will be different kinds of men. If everybody was the same, life would get pretty darn boring. The same needs to be said for women too.

Weak men make hard times and hard times create strong men and strong men make good times

And suddenly everyone on the internet knows how to be a man 😂

I don't believe I'm "masculine" because I have no need to be a savage. Real chivalry has nothing to do with opening a door for someone who can do it themselves. If I'm in front of you and I happen to be the first to the door, of course I'm gonna hold it open because my objective isn't as important as my nature. I hold doors for everyone, I lend a hand to anyone who needs it, and I go about my day without uttering a word of "because I'm a man, woman goes before me". Nope, I just smile and tell whoever walks in to have a good one.

YES! I’m always saying they’re not actually “nice”, they’re passive-aggressive!

Facts, “nice guys” simply put, are inhibited, and it not only manifests in how they handle women, it manifests every other area as well.

This guy clearly doesn’t know the difference between macho masculinity and gentleman masculinity.

There are distinct traits in each gender that are toxic that are used to abuse the other sex.
