One of the biggest mistakes i see novice riders make is doing the MTB style "boost" where they try to bunny hop the bike off the jump face. Staying loose and bent at the knees while gripping bike with legs and letting bike come up to you is the safest, proper method.

well i think you solved my problem in the first 30 seconds of the vid haha.
i always do an endo when i jump, and i believe its because im scared so i lean way back- in turn doing an endo.

These are lessons I had to learn through trial and error the hard way on my old XL250. Forty years later I pop Tylenol like pez otherwise my ankles, knees, and shoulders remind me daily of all the mistakes I made.

That coach add on is simplistic genius to train rider position. Great vids.

Man…this kind of training when I was younger would have saved me a lot of injuries. I learned how to ride through trial and error, which is not a great idea with motocross.

Great upload, wow didnt realize there was so many riders there, your doing great things I just found a Dirt Bike Rider(UK) from 1986 with a very muddy 10 year old Me covered in mud eating lunch in the back of a truck at a Mitsui Yamaha MXTraining School, we were joined by an 17 year old Rob Herring .

Wish I'd had access to a coach when I was doing this as a kid. I'd have been so much better. Bust my leg air wheelying a tabletop when I was 24. Still got some of the mechano in there to this day...

I'm gonna join the Moto Academy very soon. I live in Belgium and we once had riders who were among the best of all time such as Stefan Everts. We had loads of tracks and now we only have 3 active ones. I learned a lot from just watching these videos already and I can't wait to put it into practice as I'll be riding soon. You guys are awesome.

I have never done air wheelie, it’s all about body positioning and smooth throttle until you leave the lip of that jump don’t gas too hard coming off and don’t let off steep jumps get your body forward then back in the air and mellow ones just sit in middle of the bike .

Congrats on the new spot in Georgia! I know your neighbors, Tommy and Ann Hopkins. They live right there by your facility. Great people!

great video. the only thing i cant wrap my head around is sticking my leg out on turns. it just feels so sketchy and i already know that its useless for me as far as catching myself goes so then its only purpose is stability?
