The awkward moment when I exhibit all the red flags and not someone else... Probably a big sign to let God work on me. Not that I can date right now. It is just sometimes disheartening to be so immature at my age while seeing others blossoming. 😅 But I need to learn the hard way to drop the comparisons which is killing the joy of now.

I see red flags everywhere with this person. It's just hard to let go when you feel lonely... especially in this time of quarantine. I already blocked him but the temptation and lonelines are frustrating.

The Bible says you will know them by their fruit. Too many times we ignore things in the other person that we should not ignore. Too many times people reveal to us who they really are but we choose not to believe them. Too many times we give people the benefit of the doubt when they have already showed us the bad fruits of their lives. Too many times we ignore the promptings of the Holy Spirit. When we want something or someone, it is easy to ignore the negative things that they are showing us. May we never be desperate to have something such that we do not take heed to the warning signs that we see. A good tree bears good fruits, and a bad tree bears bad fruits. If a person is bearing bad fruit, you better believe that the tree itself is bad. Do not try to rationalize what you are seeing; believe it when people reveal to you the fruits of their lives. Learn to trust in the Lord and wait for His best for your life. Do not be desperate or impatient, and do not get weary. Trust that when the time is right, God will bring to you the person that He has for you. Never accept to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever; it is not worth it. Never disobey God in order to please a man. Let your full allegiance be to God.

You hit it right on the spot! I regret the times I used to ignore ALL these red flags you mentioned to my former friend and to the man I thought was the one for me. All of this appeared and I just ignore it until one day they did the worst thing. But God is still very good in my life through that mistake. All I can say is, when a red flag appears, don't wait for the other ten red flags to come before you run. Run sis, run!

It has been my experience during my Christian growth and maturity from a relationship that God didn't want me to have will eventually bring peace of mind as opens a better door of opportunity for the right ONE for me! It goes without saying that it is better to have peace with the right one rather than misery with the wrong one just for the sake of being in a relationship. Who really wants this? Anything less than God's absolute best will never work!
