I do this breathing, but without having to sit straight up on a floor. I do it while lying in bed, sitting in a chair, etc. It works for me.

It really works i have the habit of doing this particular breathing exercise but breathing through the left nostril only and releasing through the right nostril gives a much better and quicker result.

Yes, it works. It is powerful method. I've tried it for the first time, and pressure drops from 195/110 to 150/100.And have to check once more, but even now I can feel it is lower. Dropping, instead of rising.

I do the breathing exercises but not the way you say, I can’t sit on the floor so will try sitting on a chair.

My blood pressure was 135/86. It might be a bit high. I plan on cutting back on salt, sugar, carbs, do jogging, walking, and martial arts with a group.

I'm on a restricted diet, two years now due to messed up smell and taste caused by COVID.. I pretty much only eat, potato, beans, oatmeal dairy. Veggies some fruit. They only meat I can tolerate is ham🙄 which I don't eat often. I don't use any seasoning because of the taste and smell. I do eat some sweats, but smell and taste has messed that up also. It stressful not being able to eat much variety, to top it off my blood pressure has been 140s over 80s when I go to the Dr. I don't really eat salty foods. Could it just be stress causing this?

With this technique you might be successful in lowering your blood pressure for a little while after its completion; but how do you continue to maintain a lower bp for 8/9 hours a day when you are outside, where you have no opportunity to practice this breathing meditation technique, like during working hours? Is one time practice of your method good enough to maintain a lower bp for hours of non-practice each day?
