This Classical Mat Pilates workouts gives you the building blocks to prepare for your backbends. Please practice the high bridge (last exercise) with EXTREME caution, especially when not under the watchful eye of a dedicated Pilates teacher. Every other exercise to prepare for the high bridge is consider basic/safe to do at home and useful to help you prepare for any inversion or backbend exercise.

Christie has been teaching Classical Pilates for over 10+ years and owns a Pilates Studio called Ascend Pilates in San Diego.
