Omni Man from Invincible is possibly my favorite twist villain of all time after Aizen from bleach and I wanted to talk about the art of terrible twist villains that Disney's been churning out for decades...

Dreamworks and Pixar have some good villains. Not necessarily twist villains, but villains like Titan from Megamind and Syndrome from The Incredibles are great.

The best twist villain is nux because he’s called a villain, manages to beat the allegations, and then is secretly a villain

Instead of making Hans a bad guy, the villain should’ve been the troll chief. He erases Anna’s memories and tells the parents to hide Elsa away. Like he wanted Elsa to grow up evil.

That first episode is so interesting.. because it's clear that the other heroes don't really like Omni-Man all that much. So you know that SOMETHING is up, but they make it seem like he's just a little arrogant and that's it. Then they hit you with the real story at the end of the episode.

As someone who has actually read the whole comic, Omni-man's entire character arc is insane. Long story short, he's no more of a villain than most other members of his species, and his refusal to finish off Mark (instead choosing to leave the planet) is _character_ _development_.

A good twist villain is actually hard to do, as you need to setup clues that a person is a villain without making it clear

To me in order to create a twist villain you need to get the viewers interest in the individual. Aizen was able to get the attention of the viewers with the way he appeared and how a lot of people have high opinions over him throughout the story and when he dies in the story you never considered the possibility he’s the one that caused all of this.🐱

Another example of a great twist villain is Johyan from how to train your dragon. They have two seasons of you not knowing anything about his background, but leaving subtle hints that at the time couldve meant litterally anything. Then after years they make another series, continuing with those hints but making sure to have the audience unaware, before finally having the reveal and making it tie into everything else they set up, with it all making sense.

The thing I find funny about Hans is that his brief cameo in the trailer or "Once upon a studio" implies that Disney realized in hindsight that he was indeed a pretty terrible villain.

Part of why Omniman works is also because of 2 things. The first is the tone changes that happen in the first episode. The second is the question of whether he was being mind controlled or something and why he was doing it.

Aaron Stampler played by Edward Norton in "Primal Fear" was a S tier twist villain. Not only was he a well written character but the acting from Norton was phenomenal and really made the twist at the end hit with impact.

Keyser Soze in "The Usual Suspects" also belongs on the list of S tier twist villains.

Basically Nux has a hard on for Superheroes actually being brutal because Wreck It Ralph was a twist villain done right. And Frozen was a twist villain done wrong not because you saw it coming, but because it came from literally nowhere. Like originally the villain was going to be Elsa like in the original story, then they changed it to the short guy with a mustache, but then last second they changed it to Hans and only changed the end of the movie to accommodate that cause it's built up that he truly loves Anna and wants to protect her and Elsa heck he even went out of his way to negotiate with Elsa when they arrived and stopped a guy from shooting her (I know truly heinous) and the short mustache guy was from the beginning when seeing her powers already screaming burn the witch without actually saying the words and there was no arc for either of them to change their stance. It just happened all of a sudden with no explanation.

When it comes to supervillains Omni-Man is up there for me alongside Reverse Flash, Joker, Black Adam, and Ronald Reagen. All of these are provocative to the average supervillain i.e. Reverse Flash, Black Adam, etc., Or are just the most iconic and beloved Villain in basically fiction i.e. Joker.

He's showing Hans as though literally anyone expected him as a villain

Dude the work thing about omni-man killing red rush is that he said that each minute were like days to him and so he was being killed slowly to him. Add on to that fact that he was punching Omni man so fast and hard that his arms were breaking but he knew he had to do it cause he was gonna die.
