E36 M3 Vs. E46 M3: Which is the better M3?!?! Pt 1

Been wanting to do this video for a while! What I would call the 2 "affordable" M3 generations compared. Interior, exterior, driving experience, and reliability/ cost to own all in one video. Part 1!

I also have both E36 M3 (US) and 2006 E46 in Interlagos blue w manual trans. E36 very smooth, revvy and fun to drive. E46M3 is after, but more aggressive with the driving. Both cars always get compliments. Not a fan of new BMWs.

Kind of hard to compare the interiors given the age difference so obviously e46 wins. Besides quality though i prefer the driver focused look of the e36. I like how all the controls are all tilted to the driver to give it that cockpit look. But it all depends on the person.

E36 did it right. No exaggerated lines and perfectly crafted. The E36 M3 sedan with LTW wing is the sexiest bmw ever made. Give me one in blue red or yellow 🔥

E46 m3 is by far the best looking M3 ever made. The e36 is a nice looking car, and has that typical early 90’s look. But for me it’s not even close to the perfect design that was the e46.

you cannot beat raw power an driver experience with new tech an fancy looks yes both great cars but almost incomparable unlike most manufacturers BMW has set a platform with there cars

You may want to keep in mind that like most car companies BMW strives to improve each generation of their M models...with that said the E46 is suppose to be a overall better model than the E36...the fact that the 36 is often compared to the model built after it should be testament to just how truly iconic the 36 really is.
Side note...if a E36 owner is funded well enough he/she can transform the car into a top of the line sports car that unfortunately didn't make it to the USA. For the record I own that car.

I really want to personally see em beside watchtower, i love the shit out of the e36's subtly but the e46 while still subtle in comparison with pretty much any more modern m car; but that NFS:MW e46 though <3. I have owned a 328ci e36 and in the terms of driving I'd have to drive either of the M's but all in all until more evidence comes my way I'd go with the most controversial e36. I feel the e46 totally overshadowed the 36, maybe for good reason. So if anyone would like to help me out to finalize my decision I'd be more if. Happy to oblige!

bmw e36 is the best and it obv is better because mostly the newer cars are better in terms of peformance than their previous cars but nothing will stop me from buying an e36
