I have always been a big fan of the M3 E46, although I like the M3 E36, it is a shame that it received a factory emissions limited engine, if it had not been for that, it would be a great car.

Had both, loved them both....but the E36 is simply "magic", there is no substitute, no one even comes close.

Yo I was just about to say E36 w S54 engine. I own both M3’s and they are both great. However, I love the nimbleness of the E36 better. But even better would be a supercharged E36 or S54 swap. Win win!!
