How to File a Complaint with the Federal Trade Commission

This is you. You've been ripped off, or you've spotted a scam. Don't keep it to yourself. Take it to the Federal Trade Commission by filing a complaint. What kind of complaint? The Federal Trade Commission is the nation's Consumer Protection Agency. So if a business doesn't deliver on its promises, or if someone cheats you out of your money, the Federal Trade Commission wants to hear about it.

I bought a phone card with 350 minutes of calling time, but it cut me off after 20.

I'm getting bills for things I didn't buy. I think someone stole my identity.

The letter said I had won a sweepstakes, but I had to wire money to cover the taxes. I did and never heard from them again.

I responded to an add on line for a free trail offer. But then I started seeing charges for it every month.

I thought the email was from someone who saw my resume and wanted to hire me. But they asked for my bank account number. I reported it to the Federal Trade Commission.

If you've been ripped off or scammed, complain to the Federal Trade Commission. It can help put the bad guys out of business.

My own husband moved to South Carolina and tried to talk me into signing the paper’s for our retirement funds and I looked at the paper’s and said No. I’m still working and last year as soon as I did my West Virginia taxes they took all my money, my room mate money and I never got it back and Danny’s money was for Danny. I’m going to turn him in because he has already went and told the union hall that I’m dead and he is a widower and he is a liar he forged my name and I don’t know who the notary was but I’m going to p prosecute both of them.... He has put me on his taxes and claimed me for 65 years and I have never signed those papers also I found out he put the utilities in my name and he has been forging my name on every income tax check because he had a gambling problem. I told him let’s go talk to a lawyer you aren’t a lawyer you can’t make your mind up.. I need help now and he will threatens me and hit me tell my son some lies my dead son told me to get him I in but I’m not I giving him anything for him and it’s not fair he has got to keep all my money and he is going to beat me up and make me homeless

What if I have a complaint about a decision the Federal Trade Commission made? The Ahold Delhaize merger resulted in the closing of several of my favorite Hannaford supermarkets, because ahold Stop & Shop stores we're in the same towns. Hannaford store brand items unlike Stop & Shop's mainly sparkling water was sweetened with sucralose instead of aspartame which I am severely allergic to. It is difficult for me to get sparkling water without aspartame now cuz of this. Store that purchased former Hannaford locations in Massachusetts is more expensive than Hannaford was so in a way the Federal Trade Commission is ripping people off.
